+1. Twas beautiful.
+2 blood red sky underlighting fluffy white clouds, a soul-warming view east coming over tower bridge this morning and a SCR prophecy, as i then left carnage behind me on the highway, there may have been blood but i wasn't waiting around for the coagulation_______________________________________________

Nice morning, quite cool but not cold, traffic much nicer than it was last time (12 days ago when I was knocked off).
Legs didn't realise I was cycling but scalp intact and nice to be back on the bike.0 -
God, it was tropical out there this morning.
I can promise that the headwind tonight will be ghastly though. Literally flew in this morning (with a few decent scalps along the way)......0 -
to the guy on the black felt, the fairy on the grey specialized drafting the guy on the black/yellow scott, and also to the guy on the scott himself, all on the Highway this morning, I fully expect to see Police Incident signs on my commute home this evening asking witnesses to come forward with any information they may have to assist them with their Scalping enquiries :twisted:_______________________________________________

Saw a friend of mine in her car in Bromley today - raced her to Catford and won, and traffic was pretty light. That's surely got to be worth a few points?0

Spotted a red Sigma this morning, was that you cjcp?0

Last night my legs after karate were absolutely useless and my scalp was for the taking - fortunately @ 21:00 there were no takers, but this morning, good sleep, large spag bol & a bacon/egg sarnie for brekkie, I was on fire and stormed in, sweeping all before me
Just as a reference as to how shattered I was last night, my MAX heart rate was 152 but my AVERAGE heart rate this morning was 154 :shock:1997 Gary Fisher Big Sur

To the guy in Assos Shorts, headband?, Bianchi bar tape, Bianchi bottle and some SS which was not (by the look of it) a Bianchi.
If you are going to overtake me and swerve infront of me like a maniac almost taking my front wheel out.
I will continue to humiliate you on the ramp up to millbank roundabout ...0 -
Definitely shorts weather this morning; the SS jersey sported an appearance at one point.
Took a longer detour this morning - well, an outright mission of madness in the opposite direction - to get some miles in. Wrestled the wind as far as Richmond, destroying Richmond Hill like a kinder toy in the fingers of a madman. No time to do a lap of the park, so took a careful ride back down the water chute of manhole covers.
Now thoroughly warmed up, I joined my regular commute bristling with kinetic energy, laser sights primed. Jetting onto High St Ken like a time trialist off the ramp, a fluorescent peleton was spotted in the gutter ahead. Ignoring them, I focused on my real opponent: Mr White Van Man up ahead. Mid-chase, I noticed a brief high-vis flicker to my left, as a score of souls were wiped permanently from the Akashic Record.
Powering down the North Carriageway Dragstrip in Hyde Park, a hopeful was spotted, all spinning legs and rocking shoulders. My thought was "he's certainly putting the hammer down". Spotting the chance to attack, a description was provided of what a hammer really is, together with a few more power tools for good measure.
No need for breakfast this morning with a full belly of scalps, looking forward to doing this more regularly.Souped-Up Trek Hybrid ( Clipless & Skinnies - FCN 6 )
Regularly humbled by the RP3LC, and the FG temptation is getting too much.0 -

So if I commute on a road bike and I shave my legs because I'm female, does that make me FCN 2?0
-
What's with the rain this morning? I was promised dry weather.
Left the bike at home today as I spent a good hour and a half cleaning and re-lubing it after the soaking I got on the way back last night. Am taking it up to Yorkshire this evening, so there's no way I wanted to crap it all up again. Let's hope it doesn't rain tonight.0 -
@Notsoblue - where was this, fella? :oops:FCN 2-4.

King's Road turning onto Cheyne Walk. Bearded fella on a Red Sigma. Must have been about 8:20ish. If that wasn't you I want all my glycogen back! Got to Battersea Bridge and then pretty much sprinted all the way to Parliament Square figuring you'd be on my tail :P Got a new PB (by 4 minutes) for my commute in though
Was winding down for the last couple of hundred meters through Smithfield towards Farringdon and this guy cycled up along side me and asked me when I'd bought my bike to check that it wasn't his mate's recently nicked PX. Bit rude I thought.0 -
Yep, that was me. There was a nippy chap dressed all in black pulling away from BB lights. Was that you? If so, we got split by the line of cars and bikes on Vic Embankment, but then for good when you got through the lights just after the railway bridge - a car pulled in front of me and I had to slow up quickly, so missed the green.FCN 2-4.

Yep, thats me. All in black on a Red PX. Was disappointed you didn't respond to the shot across the bow! Next time...0 -

Truth is, I couldn't if I'd tried. Had a mixture of a hard gym session, hill reps, 50% more mileage and no breakfast sinc Sunday evening and my legs feel like lead. If I'd tried to go at your speed, I would have needed to sit down by VB lights.FCN 2-4.

Pish posh :P Actually I started this morning's ride feeling like crap, still suffering from last night's Yoga and extended ride home. The spirit of competition managed to tap hidden reserves.0 -

You want to watch that notsoblue, CJ. A moment's inattention, and he's past. Disappointed I'm still not up to riding as it's turning into a lovely day, but still not properly over the weekend's stomach bug (feel OK-ish, but still the odd unscheduled bathroom visit - watch out for it as it seems to be pretty virulent). Maybe a little light pootling on the Dahon this evening.1985 Mercian King of Mercia - work in progress (Hah! Who am I kidding?)

A fun ride today, there were plenty of scalps including a guy on a Bianci with white tyres. If you're going to look like a nonce at least be a fast nonce!
Ran into the same guy as yesterday morning, i.e. old guy who was uber-spinny on brown bike. Damn he's fast! I managed to peg the gap by hitting 26 past Embankment and Temple but I couldn't chase him down. I also had some fun with a thin guy all in black on a blue SS (not fixed) which had some of those weird handle bars that look like squashed drop bars. Lower FCN than me but we traded places after I passed him near Chelsea Bridge for the first time. Honours even by the time he turned off after Blackfriars underpass. Chapeau again!FCN3: Titanium Qoroz.0 -
Tropical in Brizzle this morning, got the paper at 6:30 in a t-shirt and was shocked as to the temperature. Saw a strange bike on the way home and managed to get it on 'film' finally, I've seen it about in Brizzle in the past but never been able to film it. FCN?
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0 -

Traffic was a bit pants tonight. A bit bitty along Embankment, although the NKR and Queen's Ride was clear. Seemed to be a few more roadies out tonight. Sensed a couple 10 yards or so behind me through Sheen.FCN 2-4.
