I have wine and whisky. I win.

Told off some bloke who was drafting me today. I was in no-sweat-super-pootle mode, and slowed down several times, yet he still didn't overtake....

cue: 'do you want to come past me or something?'

him: 'no, just keeping the pace behind you'

me: 'it's really bad form to sit right on someone's wheel etc [explanation].'

To be fair, on the old commuter I used to think I was doing well if I could hang onto someone's wheel. Hopefully he's learned, although no apology was forthcoming.

    Good on ya, LiT.

I'd agree with IT on the previous page page.... he was admiring the view!

At least all the numpties will be off the road this morning owing to the precipitation! Wish I could remember whether I have a spare set of clothes at work though!

I think I annoyed someone last night as I was drafting.

However, we were in a cycle lane next to a traffic jam, and I had nowhere else to go. He just kept looking back and shaking his head, but what could I do?

May be he was just passing judgement on your choice of cycle wear?

Had a chap on a black Spesh in red top and black shorts drafting me or just sitting on my quarter this morning from RP. Not chuffin' annoying at all...

Then picked up another fairy on a blue Trek on Embankment. He hopped from one wheel to mine as I passed. He no understand the wave to go past, either.

Got to be with. And, real butter, none of this plastic rubbish they call margarine...

Brapped in on the TT bike this morning, bit of a headwind but no rain and none was forecast. However, the weather now looks like it might be turning, so the ride home might be interesting - hard slick tyres + wet roads + TT bike = El Capitano on the deck (again...)

Still, on the bright side, KFC are doing the Breakfast Platter's at £1.99 (with voucher). :D

Ah, but ITB's next question will be "which handbag?"

Morning morning. Where were the bikes this morning? Hello again to the chap on the fixed (something) that I was chatting with at various points on his way to Tower Hill. Wonder if he finds his way or is already on here?

That was fun. I knew the winter trainer would be a good substitute. Barely noticed anyone on my way in apart from a chap on a blue Ribble who looked a bit quick but was bearing right. That could have been interesting.

Drafting a guy on a little Vespa was worth the effort to see the look of shock on his face in his wing mirror. Poor chap did a double-take and nearly swerved into the kerb.

Chapeau to the two guys who came flying past me along Albert Embankment this morning. I was doing 25, reckon they must have been close to 30, both riding fixed. Got stuck behind one of them pulling away from the Battersea Bridge lights though; I've seen glaciers accelerate more quickly...

Still hanging around in the pack, but packing one hell of a sprint finish...

Yep, and one with a rather nice Carradice saddlebag.

    They must have been AWESOME.

Certainly they sound like GOD LIKE men, striding the Earth like Spartan warriors (not at all homo-erotic - justy you know really well defined and oiled up).

I imagine that the one in Green was especially impressive. That orange cap as well - I mean how great was he?

So - again - would you like to comment further on how great they (he - the guy in green) was?
