I am sorry that you have found this experience frustrating however the item at the time of your order stated available dispatch within 2-5 working days this means available from our suppliers, items that are in stock state in stock dispatch within 1-2 working days.

And where exactly is the disclosure of that on their website? At least they bothered to respond on Sunday, so kudos for that.

Chainring arrived earlier than expected. On top of that I found four bags of Haribo in the package and some discount leaflets. That turned into an anti-rant.

Got my kitready in Monday night, rucksack packed ready for an early start on Tuesday. Out the house at 06.30, punctured within half a mile. Changed the inner tube, got going again then punctured after 2 miles. Call of shame.

I noticed shifting starting to get worse over the past month or so, and noticed my freehub was, bascially, fcuked - started crunching when under torque and flex (out of the saddle on punchy climbs), chain spitting down two cogs unexpectedly and nearly binning me a couple of times and no wonder - cassette was waving around all over the place with 5mm of play on the freehub. Rode it another fifty miles on the club run, then ordered new wheelset when I got home (it was time, the rims were worn as well). Also replaced the chain - but realised I'd neglected that to the point it was really worn. First ride out, it started doing the same unexpected downshift thing, and this time I wasn't as lucky - got spat off on a cobbled bridge and banged my knee up. Rode it gingerly for the rest of the ride, got it home and up on the stand, no play in bottom bracket, chainrings fine, indexing fine. Cassette didn't look too worn, but figured I might as well replace it anyway - voila, good as new next time out.

Replace chains before they start eating your cassette, kids.

  • Forgot my towel, lifted my bag about 4 times before leaving the house thinking it seemed a bit empty. Evidently it was.
If I know you, and I like you, you can borrow my bike box for £30 a week. PM for details.

I hope you bought your trunks though; the swimming pool generally frown on such things

If you've uploaded it, make sure set "elevation corrections" to on - doesn't the 500 use barometric, which has changed a bit today.

Had to resort the spares bag in my work locker today. Got into the changing room and was halfway through getting changed and remembered I didn't put any underwear in my panniers, luckily I had a pair in the bag for such times. Now have to remember to restock tomorrow.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

What is it with weapons that overtake you whilst they're indicating to turn left forcing you to slam on the brakes. Had some tool on friday do just that when I was going along at 20-25mph.

I knew what was coming so I slammed on the brakes, but they also also came to a stop as they realised their error. He tried to save a few seconds and ended up costing himself and received a tourette inspired torrent for his troubles.

went to get the MTB out at the weekend, only to find I'd forgotten to clean the salt and general road poo from the chain in January... visit to a retailer at lunchtime for a new chain :?
  • Nearly squished this morning - me well out from the kerb, doing about 20 outside a school. Traffic island in the middle of the road and car decided to overtake. Close enough for me to repeatedly bang a fist on the front wing / windscreen. My language attracted disapproving looks from a good 150m away, whilst the car driver even after the traffic island continued moving towards the kerb. Kicked away from them with adrenaline, they were doing the staring rigidly forwards in denial that anything ever happened.

That would have been a worthy rant had he gone to find the spare pair and discovered a colleague had borrowed them and returned them soiled. As it stands it's more of an anti-rant.

Somewhere there'll be a toddler. Perhaps a work colleague got it from his toddler and you got it from him. They're the modern day plague carriers, introduce a virus carrying child into nursery and carry out the epidemiology study on the spread from toddler zero.

Bloody bikes! Got the replacement bits onto the bike. Rear derailleur, big chainring, derailleur hanger, etc then couldn't get the wheel on the bike. QR was seized up and bent too. I had to take a hammer to it just to remove it from the wheel. Why didn't i spot it when i ordered all the other bits?

So I've still got no bike to use. Two out of action and one BSO I've not trusted enough to ride yet. It's a freebie from a gym that's got open ended pipes for tyre forks. I wouldn't want to rely on it for a mile let alone a 14 mile round trip. I'm held up for such a cheap part. Time to shop I guess.

The most annoying bit is these bugs don't even slow the toddler down. She just gets tired quicker and turns into a grumpy little madam. Meanwhile, I feel like death an have to deal with a grumpy toddler.

Anyway, don't show this to my wife. She'd laugh and then slap me for being such a wuss. :?
