Oi, stupid bint in your crappy little red car... when the road narrows at a pinch point and I'm in primary in front of you about to negotiate the pinch point...why the feck do you think it's okay to try and overtake... to get your front bumper level with the front of my back wheel (less than a foot away from the side of it too) and only ease off when I shout "BACK OFF, YOU TW@T!!!"?

Upon me catching you up less than a mile later when you were waiting for lights and suggesting you learn to drive, the correct response is most definitely not "You have your own lane!" with much gesticulating trying to pin the blame for your stupidity on me.

Firstly there is no cycle lane there, and secondly I am not obliged to use it even if there actually was one.

Mavic, you've had my nice wheel for rebuilding for three weeks now. I didn't mind, because the weather was sh*te, but it won't last forever... Pull your finger out of your ar*e; get the work done and get the wheel back to me!

I was trying to move along, honest, but it kept slowing me down... at least it was sunny this morning; SS jersey and shorts for a change...

not really a rant, more an eeeewwwww moment.

Caught up to a guy on the emabankement last nigh: largeish chap, wet ground, no muguards, WHITE lycra shorts. Shorts rendered utterly transparent by the spray.

God god, i still want to gouge my eyes out.

We had a beaut tailwind all the way in.

I also set off in BLAZING sunshine. Just glorious. It lit up the astonishingly bright rainbow caused by the MASSIVE rain-cloud (which frankly looked like tornadoes would drop out of it) beautifully.

It started to rain. I thought.... hmmm... "stay in short-sleeves or put the rain top on?"
    Stopped, put rain top on
    Blazing sun
    Overheating
    Wondering
    Sweating
    Steaming
    About to stop
DEAR GOD who turned the fricking taps on???????? We. Got. Drenched. (great tailwind though!)

Got to work and within SECONDS (seriously: I kid you not) Blazing Sunshine.

I embrace Satan and all his works..... it's got to be better.

Italian coverage of the Giro: generally very good, but must the signal from every camera freeze/pixilate after a period of no more than 3 seconds?

Got myself into onto the lloyds insurance trading floor for 10:30 to see Cameron give a speech.

They delayed it to 11:00, so had to leave.

    Shame!

Was fun to see the floor though. A lot of fun.

Headwind all the way around Regent's Park outer circle. How is that even possible? I'm pretty sure that if I had turned around and ridden it clockwise instead there'd still have been a headwind!

Its possible because its always like that... reckon its the way the buildings and hedges channel it... I've never had a tailwind in the park, even if its a tailwind on the rest of the commute...

2 months of commuting does not give you the right to make sarcastic comments about other people's cycling when it is your obviously your inexperience which made you think i had done something wrong in the first place. I'm ahead of you- there's only one gap and its on my line- some experince would have told you that i was likely to head for it rather than pull over and wave you through because you're new at this.

The nodders getting fecking uppity is the last thing i need. He shut up pretty quick when i took him up on it though. Shame i was on the SS- 76inches doesn't seem to be to drop these numpties.

Supplementary rant about the amount i am ranting at the moment. I feel like I'm almost singlehandedly keeping this topic on P1.

The silver van who decided it was my fault he clipped me with his wing mirror, before giving me an ear full just South of Waterloo this morning. Do us all a favour and do one.

Noobs are fine. Just as long as they don't act like they own the place. They clearly do not know that I own the place, and that personal permission must be given for them to use the place.

so ive taken a week off work to do some serious milage, the weather today has been nice (lots of wind but i guess I cant have everything) -however some fat mut in a HGV comes within a cm of ending me down a very short descent - so i followed him to the business park thing he was going to (about 100 yards further) and got into a row with him, why?
I so pissed off with myself, ruined my mood and for what? he didn't knock me off afterall and was I expecting him to agree with me? Im done with getting upset with idiots, waste of energy :x :x :x :x
