I hope it's from one of the people they price match against. I got caught earlier in the week with a kryptonite lock from a genuine site and they wouldn't match it, as the site was not on their list.

Evans lost the sale and I got the lock a few days later.

Yes, it was their pricematch list that found me the best deal, £21.50 against Evans proce of £29.99 :)

Stuck inside and working from home because of the after-effects from an unplanned flint-related dismount on my MTB on Saturday. Perfect commuting weather today, and I'm hobbling around wondering how long it'll be before my knees feel strong enough to get back on the bike...

    Feck.

Main commute road is shut for 3 weeks.

This means either tacking Bunny Hill both ways or looping through a stupidly busy stretch of NSL where drivers have no regard for the more vulnerable and is used as a rat run for people avoiding the A453 in Nottingham.

    Balls.

Pretty ignominious ride home tonight. Managed to get into an argument with a chap who took exception to my light being too bright (its set on medium brightness (for this reason), not on strobe, i was 3 bike lengths behind him and to his left) I do wonder what he does with actual bright stuff- like car/ motorbike headlights etc. Shouldn't have told him to p!ss off though, while being a bit precious, he didn't mean any harm.

And 15 mins later had to come to a hairy skidding stop from 25+ at a zebra crossing as a woman walked out and i couldn't see her as she was obscured by a couple of riders i was overtaking. should have seen her/ not been going that fast though. Wasn't her fault and i think i scared the sh!t out of her. :|

Still will try and do better tomorrow.

Millbank looked more like a Skyride this morning. That was great to see. Not so much the absolute tool on the hybrid who flew up the inside of everyone, squeezed into the bike lane (at speed, at the last minute) from the bus lane/turning to Millbank Tower, immediately moved across so he was outside the right-hand side of the bike lane to start overtaking, seemed to have near-contact with a ride he was overtaking, then moved back to the inside of the bike lane in time for LBR.

The worst piece of cycling I've seen in a long time.

Right...Tried to two days time off work, haven't gone sick in six years and haven't had a day's holiday in over six months. I finish at midnight, the only way usually to work is bike, a 19 mile round trip. I've had one day refused: can't get anyone to cover but Thursday a guy called Pete is staying late to do part of my shift...but get this, he has to leave at 10pm because there is no way for him to get home after that time, no public transport so he's got special dispensation for being a hero. This guy lives two streets away from me in the same village and he has a bike in his shed, he claims to be on a fitness drive: he's joined a gym. It's too hard for him to cycle to work for one night and he gets away with it. He's TWENTY years younger than I am. No thought for me cycling every day all Winter in Northumberland through the dark and cold, oh no...the rules don't apply to me apparently, I'm different. :|

...And doctor's orders are no bike until weekend after next. Also means that I'll have to go to work on public transport. Urgh.

Sat down on the sofa last night at around 9pm.

    Suddenly, my back hurts.

    Cue night of writhing pain.

Figured I could still get on the bike - tried getting on it in the morning to check.

    Err no.

    Fingers crossed this doesn't continue.

lol! think of the brownie points dude!

my friend had a funny yoga story last week:
she's in yoga and the instructor speaks to a guy who is struggling next to her (who has obviously been dragged along by the girlfriend).. the instructor goes: "do you do any other sports? no? thought so..."
    ouch
