Nice frame but overkill on the colour combo IMO. Gold  Each to their own but I think it would look nicer with black wheels, headset, silver chainring and white saddle/bar tape.

It reminds me of Pat Butcher

so just let me get this straight !!!!! you dont find pat butcher sexually alluring ? whats wrong with you ? id give you my bike for the chance to lick her cellulite encrusted hamstrings .
i know the bike frame is classy and ive done it up like elton johns christmas tree but i find it gets me instant respect when i ride through council estates, which at the end of the day is why we all cycle ..... the adulation of chavs makes life worth living

Following a cracked frame (a half inch tear from the collar of the seat tube) the chaps at Bottecchia replaced my 8avio frameset - cue a rebuild and one or two new shiny bits of kit.

When will it all end... Thinking of new brakes next

Woo-hoo! Finally worked out how to post an image of my bike. Think it complies with most of the OCP rules, except I couldn't find a white garage door and the valves aren't lined up.
  • can i add to this that " bikes must be cleaned " . i know its obvious but it needs saying.

It's the valves, they should be at 6 o'clock!!

There are many bike photographs on here but the reference shot must be taken in a specific way otherwise there will be a higher risk of flaming. Plus, it shows your lovely bikes off better!
    Don't say I didn't warn you!

1 - Bike should be against a white background, preferable a garage door so the bike shows up properly, or if taken well, a black background with suitable lighting.

2 - Bike must be flat to camera, no silly angles.

3 - Bike must be drive side showing

4 - Chain in big ring, towards the smaller cogs at the back

5 - Crankarm following the line of the seat tube or chainstay

6 - Stem must be in the negative fitting. Even if you ride with it pointing up.

7 - Dork discs, reflectors, pumps, lights etc are NOT acceptable, again, even if you ride with them.

Should no 8 and 9 read something like this

    8- Valves must be at 6 o'clock
    9- No water bottles allowed.

    Whoops.

I really screwed the pooch on many levels in my pics !!  ( Page 58 )

    You like blue, then...

I take it you haven't 'messed' around with the Ribble, yet! It's the only one with 'normal' looking hood placement on the bars, to me anyway...

The hoods are "sort of" in the right place, but the bars are positioned funny.

Never really noticed the bar position until highlighted on here, but both of the Gios have been tinkered with and thats how they have ended up. I find them very comfortable.
As far as Rokkala's comment, the picture was taken before my summer-ish bike was together so the mudguards are still to be fitted.

That's two really nice GIOS bikes there Andy.

I think the blue stem accentuates the bar position on your summer bike. IMO it would look better in black and match those stunning forks. I could permanently ride on the drops in that position, but the hoods look difficult to reach. If it's comfortable for you then that's all that matters.

Hope you keep it under lock and key as its got steal me written all over it!

Warrior4Life, nice Planet-X. Hope it rides as well as it looks - by all accounts it does!

Some cracking deals on their kit right now - ProCarbon Ultegra 6700 for £900 is a bit silly, would be in my garage now if I didn't already have the BH.....

I have their Model B wheels on the BH, highly recommended for the ££ - light & fast, 3000 miles this year on them and not even a spoke key.
