Oooh, I love Midgets (cars that is :lol: )! I used to have a black 1973 Midget that was fab!

I now drive and MX5 (and m OH's TVR and Volvo) but have just put a deposit down on a 2002 Lotus Elise :D Bring on the sunshine and all those country roads.....!

Ooooh wow!! About the only thing I'd replace the Midget with would be an Elise! Drove an Exige last year at Silverstone - that was amazing!
Such a gorgeous day today but the old girl is stuck in the garage pending repairs :( even the mtb is broken! :(
We midget owners get everywhere hehe! Nearly everyone I speak to had one, or knew someone who had! 1973 was the prettiest of all of them, wish mine was tax exempt though!

I'm buying a UKDM integra type R sometime this month hopefully.

I used to have a nissan pulsar GTiR that was about 320bhp running at 1.3 bar of boost and did 0-60 in 3.4 seconds....

And yes I am a girl.

My first car was a vauxhall nova 1.3SR. What a little beast! 8)

Subaru impreza wrx, about 1.2bar as ive just had her remapped, should have been 1.4/1.5 but i had boost leak problems.

A cracking car to drive and very reliable, my pug 309 was a nightmare to look after.

Actually im surprised no one has pipped in fussing how we shouldn't own such cars, too hard on the enviroment etc.

Nice to see some enthusiasts about.
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

Just 'coz we cycle a lot doesn't mean we're opposed to a little petrol :P Have to say I'm not so keen on modern stuff - I'm a real classic nut! I do like Scooby's though!

Integras drive better due to the limited slip diff, but I can't get a bike in the back of an integra!

not the most practical for the bike but it fits in the boot with the seats down, just have to get the mud off first!

is that the 3l V6 Malc?

    Lovely car if it is.

Nope, went for the HDi option as its allot cheaper to run, not as quick but quick enough for now. For £300 i can get a custom remap which should up the mpg and get me to about 180bhp. So V6 performance with HDi sound effects.

Didn't realise they did an HDi coupe.

Probably costs a hell of a lot less than my mate's. He had the V6 and only did short journeys in it. It was costing him the earth. Not ideal when you've got a wife that's tearing the lining out of your wallet in a divorce! He went from that to an HDi 206. He wasn't happy.

Like someone else said before...I'm surprised there's quite a few petrolheads on here.

Bought a Corrado after that but sold it after a few months. Got a Bora TDI now but I really want another Mk2 Golf GTI. It was a choice in the end between a 2nd car and the Commencal, the bike won!

    OUCH!
    I've been a lifelong Golf fan - had a mk2 GTi 8V which i did up slightly, a mk3 GTi 16V and a mk4 R32. All great cars!

On a boring note, our Jimny (for boat towing, larking about in) has just gone in for a service and we've got a brand new Swift for the day - best small car I've driven in years.
Saxo handling with Jap build quality. If I needed a small car, this would be it.

    Instead it's a fast(ish) diesel estate and a little 4x4.

  • Yeah these Volkswagens can get annoyingly addictive lol. Not driven an R32 but they're by far the best Mk4 derivative. The rest are big fat jelly moulds

I utterly hate all the other mk4 Golfs - They handle SO badly.

The R32 literally had miracles worked on it! Still damn heavy though but the noise it made was gorgeous and it went pretty well.

New one just doesn't do it for me, even if it is a bit quicker.

  • I've got a BMW 320d which is slowly getting wrecked by my bike carrier. I'm seriously contemplating getting a pickup purely so that it will be easier to carry the bike!

Actually, I want both but piggy bank is a bit empty!

  • I've been driving just over a year now, 1.2 clio, 60 bhp of pure french buzz! before I had this car I raced my go-kart for kicks but the clio is just as much fun!
My dad races a Caterham 7 megagraduate, only 147 bhp but only 540kgs- result is 0-60 in under five seconds! I've driven it twice at brands, but I don't know it well enough to give it a damn good thrashing just yet!

Renault Clio 182 in Black Gold

had it since new but dont use it nearly enough as i should.

goes well when you poke it :D

So is it black or gold?

Great cars but I don't trust Renault's build quality and they are currently suffering from dire customers service and JD Power results.

I'd love a 182 Trophy to play about it. And get someone else to look after it!

Yeah VW made a lot of changes to the R32 chassis over the V6 4 Motion. I suffer a Bora which is just a mk4 in disguise and it doesn't handle at all compared to my old Golfs and Corrado. Good job it's cheap to run and has loads of toys so I can forgive it lol! Tw@ for putting bikes in though :p

Black with Gold flakes in it,can only see them when the sun is on it really nice.

had a few Renaults in my time and although the build quality is average ive never had any bother with mine, trophys are nice but i like all the creature comforts and the handling and power of mine isnt a million miles away either.

when it kicks at 5k you know about it.

Bora seems to handle a little better than the mk4 Golf though - no idea why!

Ramon - it is a quick little motor.
My R32 was very handy in that there were NO gaps in the power delivery - it just went at any revs!
Clio is more chuckable though - R32 is pretty heavy.

If you bag a good one, they must be lots of fun.

    Like the new one too.
