I'm assuming that stage 1 is the TTT - might get confusing as some of us are calling stage 2 stage 1 etc.

Dave Hinde - probably the worst bike shop in the world.

    Hi there.

    Overall: Paulo Savoldelli
    TTT: CSC

I've ummed and ahhed about this all week. Cunego is the obvious choice as a pure climber and the bookie's favourite... but, but, but I've never really liked him and he hasn't shown the promise of 2004 (except in Trentino). Simoni is the safe bet with 7 podiums in the last 8 years, but how old is he? And will that young upstart Ricco do a 'Damiano' on him?

So I've gone for Il Falco - mostly cos I just love watching him ride. When he retires and opens the Paulo Savoldelli school of bike handling - I'll be his first customer!

    Cheers, Andy

I was tempted to pick Tinkoff for the TTT, but they might be pushed a bit.

i was going to go for Euskaltel for the TTT, but even my loyalty to them would be stretched by that... so

(Note: I'm going on holiday on June 1st, so the scores may be... er... a lot late.)

(Second note: This thread is going to be HUGE, so please can you always put the stage number next to the rider's name. Most of you do anyway, but just a reminder.)

    Hi there.

    Stage 2: Juan Jos‚ Haedo

Certainly a sprinter in form, and he sat up today (to save his legs?) and finished 4 minutes back. I would go for Ale-Jet but need to wait and see what form he's in first!

    Cheers, Andy

ps afx - if you pm me your calculations up to the point you go on holiday I'll tot up the final scores on the 3rd for you.
