    stage 4: Iban Mayo

I was about to go for Piepoli but I guess Iban needs to test his legs first....

900m altitude over 18 km, so it's not particularly steep compared to Alpine climbs, but a long slog.

Maybe not superlight Sella then, but perhaps Di Luca if he perform like he did in the first week of the Vuelta.

Or will Ricco do a "Cunego" on Simoni here again?

I would pick Bettini as I think the stage suits him well but he fell over today and looked uncomfortable so I'll go with the little Aussie twerp. Picking him for PTP makes me less annoyed when I see him win!!! He still gets under my skin though!

    Herd of gnus?

    No! What's the news?

Stage 5: sharpish uphill finishing kilometre.... Garzelli.

I really like Mazzanti as a rider, and I have no idea why he isn't on a Pro Tour team. I think I pick him quite a lot, but he hasn't pulled it off for me yet. Still...
