Managed to take 10 seconds of my PB yesterday; a Sigma Sport guy flew past me though, making my 6.43 feel very pedestrian.

    An outrageous accusation!

Actually, the hills were the only place I didn't draft. I just couldn't keep up everywhere else.

Humpty - so who was the Condor/Rapha dude you were dining with? Nice wheels!

Naz - Surprised you were compos. enough at the top to clock me and Mrs. JWS - Nice to say hello again...You were really moving up that hill!

OK, time for me to "Fess up" to my spare tyre - 80Kg - Fitness, plus a couple of accidental short-distance sportifs this year, finishing with a well swept rear tyre [;)] - OK, so that was 80Kg plus baggage, rack and guards - that's my excuse, and i'm sticking with it!

Who was the yellow-jerseyed C+ poster from Wesbourne Pk? Can't remember your alias!

RunawayPuma - description please?! I was briefly parked up near the entrance, on the red/black Frat. with black/orange rack pack and wife's silver Tri&Run.

Anyone make the tea stop at Capel church? [:I] Large CTC contingent and vast array of cakes - approx. 30 - Sadly, I didn't sample them all!
  • humpty and JWSurrey, it wasn't me at 13:30; I was back in Richmond Park well before then. I think I was there about 11:30, not on my Fratello (was giving that a rest after last week's 600k Audax), but on my Specialized Roubaix, wearing a grey Rapha jersey and amongst (well a bit in front of [:D]) a whole bunch of Serpentine club mates wearing their red with gold stripe jerseys.

We were doing our short three hills ride; Richmond Park, Esher, Ockham, East Clandon, Staple Lane, Dunley Hill, Ranmore Common, Box Hill, then back via Epsom Common.

I wonder what sort of time the Ballbuster winner would do each (of 3) ascents in, given that they've run 8 miles before and have to run another 8 after.

06:38 for me this week. Also had a re-jig of the table to reflect all the equal times - not sure if this is the 'right way' but it makes a bit more sense to me. Please feel free to re-jig if I've messed it up!

    80 Kg - General fitness & 2 "accidental" sportives!

Crikey, that was hardcore weather this weekend! Full lights, reflectives and guards - Managed a tasty tailslide coming down the hairpin atop Denbies at 15mph!

Big Hello to the Audax leJog chap and the 3 Kingston Wheelers out for some more punishment!

    8:36, 67kg, 41......

    For reference, that's at 3.5 Watts/kg OBLA

And 60 miles in my legs.
I'm not saying pedestrians in Hackney are stupid.. but a fixed bayonet would be more use than a fixed gear...

I calculated the power and weight/kg ratings using the kreuzotter website and assuming everyone was 178cm tall and had a bike that weighed 8kg. Hope this is of some interest......

    too high or too low?

I'm intrigued cause mine was pretty accurate, I have a powertap. I measured the course at 2.47km and a gradient of 5.5%. Of course, if it was particularly windy when you did it .....

  • slightly too high. Im over that neck of the woods again on Friday. Going to really belt one out and then post the stats (if they look ok that is).

I have it as 2.489km and 4.9%, could be I just stopped my interval slightly later than you did.
