Not a road racing transfer, but quite a big news thing anyway: Olympic triple medalist (silver, silver, bronze) sprinter Matt Richards switches from Australia to GB (where he was born)

Stop The Bikes! Bleepin' immigrunts, comin' over 'ere, etc etc....
For clarification, the above may or may not be entirely serious.

I assume that will put a nose or two out of joint in the current set-up.

Wouldn't need him if they were better. In a sport barely anyone does seriously, getting a load of silver and bronze medals isn't much of an achievement.

In one of the less surprising announcements, Tim-Torn Teutenberg (winner of U23 Paris Roubaix and 3rd in the recent Tour of Denmark) will be promoted to the Lidl-Trek WT team next year. He's one to keep an eye on.

Aranburu to Cofidis. That's quite a big win for them I think

Robert Stannard, who was given a back dated 4 year ban for biological passport anomalies from 2018 and 2019, has signed with Bahrain-Victorious with immediate effect, and will ride the Tour of Britain (which is coming nowhere near my house) next month.

Pascal Eenkhoorn, best remembered for handing a bidon to a kid at the ToB back in 2021 (?), has signed for Soudal-Quick Step for the next two seasons.

Quite how someone called Sandy Irnbru can be a Spanish national champion is beyond me, but yes, looks like a coup for them as he's an impressive points gatherer.

Sam Watson to Ineos confirmed on a 2 year deal.
Appparently, Andreas Kron 🇩🇰 will leave Lotto-Dstny to join Uno-X Mobility in 2025.

Andreas Kron from Lotto to Uno-X, not a major surprise

Anyone finding it funny that this was released the day before Ben O'Connor went galloping up the road?
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -
Campenaerts to Visma confirmed

Sergio Higuita and Caleb Ewan being linked with Astana, with the latter having to negotiate an early release from the contract he signed this time last year with Jayco-Alula.

Caleb Ewan should go back to the super aero sprinting style. He seemed to be winning more with it. Career is fizzling out and it's a shame.
PTP Champion 2019, 2022 & 20230 -
Makes me wonder what Lotto were thinking. They’re not exactly swimming with top talent

They have four riders in the UCI top 100, who are aged 22, 23, 24 and 26. I think they have some of the brightest talents in Belgian cycling at the moment; De Lie, Gils and Van Eetvelt, plus they'll likely have Widar joining in the next couple of seasons.

I'm surprised @No_Ta_Doctor hasn't posted this already, but Emma Norsgaard has signed for Lidl-Trek for the next three years.
1 -
Yeah, I saw it but I'd just posted about Campenaerts so thought i needed to slow the flow ;-)
Very happy with hat

I would have thought Campanaerts is the sort of rider you want for controlling the race when van Gils or van Eetvelt are riding for GC or as support for De Lie in the Classics.

Niamh Fisher-Black leaves SD-Worx to join Lidl-Trek on a three-year deal.

Diego Ulissi to Astana.
And Florian Samuel Kajamini.

Robert Donaldson (GB U23 champ, Paris-Roubaix Espoirs runner-up) joins Jayco Alula for 2025.
Rumours were that he was on the radar of INEOS, which would have made a lot more sense than some of INEOS's other recent signings.
