Rabobank went properly didn't they as in had to race in unsponsored kit although the licence did get picked back up.

Rabobank -> Blanco -> Belkin - > Lotto Jumbo -> Jumbo Visma -> Visma LAB

Wasn't the Blanco bit unsponsored though due to Rabo dropping sponsorship? Basically run using their deposit.

THink it just ended. There was no buyer or takeover at the end of 2016, they just ceased to exist

Why are they still paying him if he wanted to move?

I wonder if he is super elite at descending. Would love to see it.

I don't see why he would be. He isn't an experienced road cyclist. Rossi once commented how mad pro cyclists are decending on roads with walls and barriers, without dozens of laps to learn the corners or 10s of thousands of pounds of suspension sticking them to the road.

Skinny tyres too.
Even at 28mm.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

I have a mate who is now in his 70’s who was a bit of leg end in motor cycling circles when he he was much younger at places like Oliver’s Mount. Trying to follow him down a descent even now is rather trouser filling.

Possibly a leftfield signing - but makes sense actually. An 'old school' XC racer not really suited by the explosive modern XCO races, and is far better in Marathon races - hence 3 Worlds wins, at just 22 years old, when its usually an older riders race. An excellent climber, and endurance is her strength.
