I think there are 2 things here.
1) The guys are properly in the wrong. I mean, they properly beat the shit out of one of the policeman. They do not deserve to act like the victim, here. They're absolute shits and the judge will throw the book at them.
2) the police need to keep cooler heads and not kick them when they're down, even if they've just beaten the shit out of their colleague, however understandable.

Oh yeah totally, the perps were in the wrong. I agree some of the interviews I saw about the poor victims were really hamming it up. But the police have to act professionally.

I think I agree with Rick, and most people, on this. I'd expect the police to go in heavily to subdue them as quickly as possible in the circumstances. There is no justification at all for kicking a guy in the head once he's under control.
That policeman lost it and was running around kicking them in what looked like revenge. The 'victims' were completely in the wrong right up to that point. Assuming they go for compensation, I'd like to see them given a nominal amount because their own behaviour put them into that position. Hopefully there's no lasting damage done as that would obviously increase any payout.

Intriguing indeed. You do have to wonder how many people got properly ill eating barely digestible plants before someone thought, "why don't we boil them up with some wood ash?" or whatever.

How nuts the messaging goes about a spell of heatwave, even in S France, where it's quite normal for daytime temperatures to be 35C in the afternoon in July & August. Give in to the sweat, and drink plenty. It's not complicated.

It's possible to acclimatise. But not in the small number of days warmth you get in the UK.
It's the same as saying the Canadians, with snow chains, studded tyres and years of experience are better at driving in snow. Fwiw they tend to suck at driving in a tropicalo soon.

Genuinely, I find mexican very easy on the digestive system - so much so I've started eating more of it in light of various problems - has helped.
There is something about the combination of mexican foods, the (nixtamalised) corn, beans, citrus, chilis peppers, etc that makes it easier for your digestive system to handle

For the most part I've only experienced US Mexican food, which I anticipate is not Mexican food. Suspect it's about the corn:anything else ratio.
When I actually went to Mexico, it was all big resort food, and diving boat food which was better.

It was a while ago I was down near the border, but a local place in the outskirts of San Diego was about as authentic as you can get in the US I think. For starters it was actually corn rather than wheat in the tortillas.

I'd also say that "authentic" isn't always healthy, but if you're making your own with the "authentic" ingredients, it's very difficult not to be healthy.
Heavy on fresh vegetables, light on any oils except for the fat in your chosen meat and in the vegetables, a good dose of pretty much every vitamin and mineral across the diet spectrum.
I even have my own cast iron press for the corn tortillas - though ocado stopped selling masa harina corn flour which is really annoying.
Obviously I can't get the fresh chilis but you can get pretty much all of them dried now pretty easily. Local even sells fresh tomatillos, though I find working with tinned much easier and it's just as nice tbh.
Only thing I've not really got to is making my own chili sauces - I'm going to probably start when the children are older and need less attention.
