Yeah, camera was only on his right side, but he’s quite scuffed up on his left shoulder.

Watching Cav move up in the last 1km there was incredible. He was well out of position, his lead out was looking for him and he just threaded his way through to get onto Girmay's wheel but then just couldn't get out to sprint (may get looked at for the wild swerve). Another great win for Girmay that should seal green for him.
Rog is bashed up and losing a lot (timer has frozen).

Girmay didn't even look full effort there. Unusual to see Cav so far up and not winning.

If Cavendish finds himself in the right position he can absolutely grab another stage based on that - but based on that he won't find himself in the right position.
(eta - mad move to get there and speed to burn, but ultimately needed to sprint flat out just to reach the sprint)

I think Astana have collectively gone off the boil a little bit since his stage win. Just not as focused.

So I missed stage 4 because i was away and I misses yesterday because they finished more than an hour ahead of schedule.
Apart from those two I've seen one and a half good stages. what a snooze.

We say this just about every year.
Sprint stages have been dull as ever but mitigated by Cav, & Girmay coming of age.
The other stages have been at least decent, and some great imo.

Suspected he might from the head on but then having seen the overhead I don't really know what else he could do when the Arkea leadout rider (McLay?) slowed down so much in front of him. Any other action he took was more likely to cause a crash.
