Even if you add together Reform and Tories they only come to slightly more than 50% for 65+ which doesn't do much to support your theory that the pensioners hate the young.

It is pretty obvious, isn't it 🙂
"I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -
Owen Jones writing in the Guardian that Labour will rue the seats it lost to Independents and ignores the Left at its peril. Pretty certain it was ignoring the left, Corbyn, Owen Jones et al that just won them 412 seats. The bloke is completely delusional, the left equivalent of Nadine Dorries.

Ah yes but you see they won more of the vote share, so even though they had fewer seats, it was somekind of moral victory...
Apparently.

Ah yes, the 'moral victory'. Unfortunately for Owen and Novara Media, Keir Starmer had the actual victory.

A lotore sandwiches will be needed in the HoP canteen.

That the story is bollox? Absolutely. How could Labour possibly make things easier for people smugglers? I suppose they could open up the Channel Tunnel as a footpath.

Like I said, the hard right can't count. Even if you add all the seats that Reform voters gifted to Labour, they are still well short of a majority.

This election just shows there are some real loonies to the far right.

At least he is wearing tie and treating the occasion with the seriousness it deserves.
He's also not gone for the outrageously large rosette, unlike Mogg

For what it is worth, I find it very tedious discussing what school someone went to more than about two years after they left it

In some circumstances. In others not.

It really does. I was never taught to project my voice towards a waiter for example. It's coat me hours of my life.

You have finally posted a chart that I like.

There is a lot of healing to be done folks.
We've had a populist government since 2017 and it is showing.

Really strange feeling seeing a result I’m happy with.
Every political event or vote in my adult life had been a major disappointment till now

It is temporary. But I do think making decisions that aren't immediately and clearly shit or corrupt to anyone with half a brain will feel refreshing for quite a long time.

Well, as I've posted before, experiencing people on the Hammersmith City line smiling at each other on that Friday morning in 1997... Before your times I know. But, Things Can Only Get Better... 🤞

Interesting couple of appointments
Both given peerages

I hope Starmer can do a Blair/New Labour, and create a bit of enthusiasm for Britain again. Then it was the art and music which gave Britain a bit of swagger.

That will end up as ‘Labour to cave in to doctors’ Union’ in Telegraph/ Stevo speak.

Here’s a great stat. No football club in the professional leagues are in Tory constituencies (have not verified this) 🤯
