A lot closer than that, with Carapaz

Vauquelin takes it to finally take a stage for Arkea. Well deserved too, he looked great up the final climb.
Remco and Carapaz nearly on the Pog / JV bus.

Wow, fair play Remco.

Gap behind looks to have closed too and Carapaz mugs them to take yellow.

Pog never even went for taking yellow.
Odd

Fairplay to Carapaz!

Bardet must be close though. A lot of effort for not much gain in the end maybe
0 -
Chase must have got better organized at the end there
0 -
Nice recovery from Remco, Pogacar lost the wheels and a couple of seconds there perhaps?
0 -
Nobody knows anything. Fair play to Carapaz and Remco for getting back up to them.

Vingegaard has stolen his mojo.
Pogacar into yellow regardless.

Now saying Pog is in yellow.

Bit of a chaotic finish after a fairly dull start to the stage.

I liked it, went from thinking Pog and Vingers were going to kill the race off to seeing Carapaz and Remco right back in the mix

Of the big four, Rog not at the races again today.

Crazy from remco. Those guys wouldn't be hanging around in a two up tt.

Another rider who has found his best form after a race ending crash.
Maybe it's the new marginal gains.

So we know Vingegaard has the top end power, now it's the endurance to prove. This is great stuff.

Lolz
Pog asks if Remco made yellow: "I left a gap"
Yeah, but Jonas closed it for you 😅

In with Bardet's group

Carapaz probably thought Remco on his own would close the gap better. Probably not wrong.

I won a two up TT using that strategy

Stamina will come into it too. It was good to see him racing like that today but Pog looked OK in the early stages last year after his lay off. Going straight into a 3 week race with no build up is challenging without having overcome such significant injuries.

There were easier ways to do that like not attacking on the final climb.

Remco complaining Carapaz wasn’t pulling seems odd, I thought in the first shot we got of them it was Carapaz on the front.
