The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

Not me, I just stay the same age, although I think there is something wrong with my rear view mirror because I look all old in that.

Surprised Stevo went for as high a figure as 5mph, TBH, and didn't mention having someone walk in front with a red flag, to make his point.

Averages mask a lot off variation. Probably the case in urban areas but not round my way.

Very well, most places. My point remains.

Typical slow driver twat syndrome then 😜

It's about a 35% of the roads in Wales so a long way from most. Can't find a figure for England but about half the roads in Greater London are 20mph.

Driving at 20mph average in Greater London is a fantasy in my experience, so raising the speed limit to 30mph would make zero difference. Other than appeasing some obs.

You ought to do the maths for how much time you save, taking into account traffic lights and traffic.
doubt it’s more than a minute for most journeys.

Surely if you are driving for the 'experience' a longer journey increases the enjoyment 🤔

I think you know as well as I do how annoying it can be when when get stuck behind a slow driver. This just makes it a much more frequent experience for the Welsh.

I don't think you really get it...

If the limit is 20mph, then you aren't stuck behind a driver if they are doing 20mph. Bonus!
Turns out it's a pro driver policy all round 😎

I think the 469,000 signatures against the new limit (in a country with a population of about 3.2m) tell you what you need to know about the popularity with the locals. Even Drakeford, who had a very strong 'we know better' leftie streak, admitted he was surprised by the reaction.

Stress less, you'll live longer.

Agree, and not imposing stupidly low speed limits will help. I'm opposing 20mph limits for health reasons.

Boycott those areas. That will also reduce traffic. Another bonus!

Well no, that's why I'm asking. I mean how enjoyable can driving at 30mph be?

Oh they signed an online petition. Well that changes EVERYTHING.
Perhaps they all had the same misunderstandings you had.

And 6m people signed the Revoke Article 50 petition in 2019, which is about the same ratio to the British electorate.

Thus also demonstrating that online petitions are not much more than a waste of server capacity.
