Christ. Is this the Stenhousemuir first team? I thought they were better than this.

  • She'd rather he saved the ball.

  • Have to admit, I am genuinely a bit sad for all those fans. Scotland are a better side than this, looks like the nerves have got them.

"Scotland are a better side than this,..."

Where on earth did you get this idea from? The fans are much better than the team.

The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

    Mmm. People make Glasgow.

Why is it so shit then?

I think the fans were fairly realistic about the need to celebrate before the game, tbh.

Surely this is just when the fans really need to get behind their team. Having outsung the Germans in the anthems, they've been deathly silent since.

If Flower of Scotland didn't have all the silly hurrays in it, they'd be more vocal.

He had one arse cheek on the ground. Totally in control.

  • To be fair PB, they can play a bit of football. They have been the proverbial rabbit in headlights tonight though, running around like schoolboys in the park. Ron Manager is up there mumbling "jumpers for goalposts".

Bad to worse to disasterous for the Scots.

Possibly the worst possible half of football they and their fans could have imagined.

With respect, I have another opinion. They have a few players that play well in good teams. Scotland is not a good team. A chain is only as good as its weakest link, Porteous in this case. Long history of tackles like that.

Could be worse. Brazil were 5 down at half time.

    Embarassing.

The ball was in the German half for a second there. That will be on the VHS highlights video released in November.

Countries should be handicapped if they have larger populations.

It's going to be a tense last 3 minutes.

If the German defender hadn’t been pulling him back he would probably have overrun the cross. Very surprised that was being reviewed.

What are the odds of Antonio Rudiger being Scotland's top scorer?

It’s been 1-1 since I switched on. I’m available for an all-expenses paid trip to attend future games as a talisman.

    Maybe not.

Wasn't too bad in the end.

    Less than 7.

Did anyone else expect anything other than Scotland getting spanked?

I didn't. I had a German colleague doom mongering, and an ex colleague and client in the stadium with faint hopes.

    I had guessed 3-0
