Not if it backfires and the tory voters think he’s a labour candidate.

I would suggest that if labour do that well, it will be impossible to be that popular and their support will quickly crater towards a *grumble grumble they’re not vey good either* level.

They're as likely to think "I liked that guy for Labour" though.

And with a majority of 590, he's losing whatever, surely.

Not enough of them to make much difference though

I mean anyone who would count on their fingers could see it was a made up number. Like I said if businesses were looking at 40% of their customers were really disappearing overnight they'd be screaming about this. That they aren't tells you it's not that much of an issue.
Not that that hasn't stopped the education secretary from claiming a 'school tax' that won't exist until at the earliest the next tax year has somehow forced the closure of a school.

WHY DO KIDS WITH SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS HAVE TO PAY FOR PRIVATE EDUCATION MOTHER FUCKER?
“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0 -
The government's current plan is to cut real spending on non-protected departments (i.e. anything that is not NHS, defence, core schools spending or overseas development) by 13% and to reduce public sector net investment by a third. Over the next 4 years.
I'd say that is not going to happen without making things worse. A plan that does not include this is almost certainly going to be better.

Labour Party comms are having a ball

So who actually voted for HiRiskAnus to be PM (in name only)? Oh, no one. Quelle surprise.

It could matter to us in a few weeks.

Is there a separate election after the GE to decide who gets to be Prime Minister?

Labour focussing on defence today. Slight issue is that David Lamy, Shadow Foreign Secretary is against nuclear deterrents, having always voted against trident, nuclear subs etc.Or has he had a damascne conversion in the last few years?

Presumably. It’s all very well to be against them until a general explains the value of deterrence in keeping peace.

Not sure it does. The Conservatives are toast - it's just a question of how well done. All the things you seem to be worried about - higher taxes; high immigration - have happened anyway. If you were that worried about Angela Rayner being in a senior government position, that's been likely since Truss was PM. I think it's a bit late to do anything about it now.

I think I'm less worried than some of you lot should be.

If Kemi Badenoch is going to get so annoyed about someone asking her questions, why does she go in for interviews?

Don't worry. There are more than enough sharp elbows in the state sector as it is! More would make it worse for those without the necessary sharpness.

OK enough of the Cassandra nonsense. What do you think are the specific coming changes that will impact what different circumstances?
