It's only a timing difference...

So I guess people will find out the hard way. Sometimes a reminder is needed.

Not weak, just doesn't fit in with your hope that 'Blair without the flair' will come riding to your rescue. Or so you think - I reckon you could well get the government that you deserve 😉

Sounds a bit like 2010 to me.

Stand up and fight you coward. What do you mean you don’t want to stand in a manky leisure centre at 5am so we can all see your smug face wiped off when you get annihilated.

Can't be long now until Rishi announces he won't stand either and he's off back to USA. ;)

Like Rick, you will probably get the government that you deserve in July.

Here’s hoping, I don’t think we’ve deserved the shower of shit we’ve had since 2015.

You'll probably get a shower of shit who will tax you more if you're remotely successful. Your call.

Things... can only get better...

You think the Tories are going to be in power again then?

Good one. If you're not successful enough to be worried, that's your problem 😉

I hate to tell you @Stevo_666 , but at this stage any attempts to claim that the Tories have an ounce of credibility left are both comical and rather sad. Though I suspect that might not dissuade you from your one-man mission.

I'm just reminding you to be careful what you wish for. It's easy to get carried away in your Carol Vorderman style frenzy.

Fair play to Stevo, he's fighting a valiant rearguard action and has lasted longer than a lot of their MPs.

Even my ex MP when I 'joined' aka paid £1.12 or so per month for a while to get an insight into the locals, and a vote not for Spaffer, Airhead Leadsom is saying 'I'm outtahere'. Given the fuckwit band of dummies 'running' the constituency then, maybe they've got even further down the plughole. Maybe the non gender specific knobs will want the likes of 30p Lee instead.

You're still tilting at windmills. It's a simple wish with no frenzy: the current government are finished, and the Tories need to rediscover what they should stand for: it's certainly not what they've been doing for the past fourteen years. If you can't see that all we are voting for is to send them into oblivion for as long as it takes for them to come to their senses, then you're not helping 'your team' in the slightest.
And I know you won't believe me (or anyone else) when I say that I do want them to become a serious party again. This would be a good time for someone like you to think about how they can do that. But if staunch supporters like you won't ask 'your team' difficult questions, then they deserve to sink without trace.

I don't remember 2010 being that bad. 2009 was the difficult year. Public services still worked. Work was picking up. 2010-2015 was alright as well. It was only post 2016 that they shat the bed.

Will the telegraph write a piece bitching about him working from home?

I think there are some people that will end up paying significantly more tax, but I suspect that's going to come from the super rich, rather than high earners.
IMO there is a degree of arrogance in people thinking "I have a large house and earn six figures therefore Labour will be after me" when actually there are a small number of people with several orders of magnitude more income and wealth that currently pay a tiny effective tax rate that will be targeted.
If you derive most of your income from work, then you might end up paying a bit more, but it's unlikely to be transformative.

Are you saying we didn't deserve the last 14 years?
