Giro Stage 9 - Radda in Chianti to Greve in Chianti (ITT) *Spoiler*
Technical due to the twists and turns. Don't be fooled by the very odd and vertically exaggerated profile for the stage - for example, that last time check comes on the crest of a "hill" where riders ascend 180m in 5km in other words just 3.6%. It will still be a challenge for the main contenders and specialists though. The rest day during the long transfer from Arnhem seems a long time ago.

Dumoulin has said he has switched focus back to the ITTs from GC. No energy and no legs today. Oh and a saddle sore.0
-
I normally find ITTs in GTs quite boring, but this looks interesting. For a net downhill TT that looks quite tough. With all the undulations and twists it'll be really difficult to get in to and stuck in to any kind of rhythm.0

All those picking Dumoulin for PTP must not have seen what happened every time the road went uphill yesterday0
-
I did, and had second thoughts, but then I read the inrng preview and listened to the cycling podcast and decided he was still a good bet for a decent place.
Bearing in mind Cancellara is a bit uncertain too with him being ill earlier.0 -

I'm watching, just not got an awful lot to say apart from the weather looks horrible.0 -
Zakarin falling apart a bit, looks to have had a crash0
-
Uran loses 2 minutes to Landa at the finish0
-
Looking OK for Landa? I was worried he might lose a load of time.0
-
Not bad at all for Landa, Nibali came in 53:58, Landa losing only 7 seconds
Looks like Jungels to pink for me.0 -
Valverde in 54:09, behind Nibali now on overall by 2 seconds0
-
Kruijswijk in 54:08, Brambilla needs to finish in 53:51 to keep Jungels out of pink by my maths0
