I tried the huge massive drop-off once on my old HardRock - well to be honest I got off my bike and walked it. As I ride alone generally I didn't fancy having a nasty off, so was waiting until I had some company before giving it a proper go.

Having seen it since I realise that if you hit the left side if's only about a 3 inch drop. Probably time for me to try that black run again.

Now if they can only get rid of those pesky logs!!

Anyways, let's have a proper forum ride at Llandegla - that would be cool. Can't do last weekend in July myself - otherwise anytime I guess.

Me again - OnePlane demo day at Llandegla is on 7th July. Might be a good oportunity to crash other peoples bikes.

Oooh just been reading all this talk of a forum ride. I may well be tempted by a ride at Llandegla. It's a hell of a journey for me but I was there a couple of weeks ago and thought it was great. Depending on the date, there's a fair chance I'd be up for the trip.

An excellent philosophy there. Having said that, last time I rode that trail, I was pushing it hard to do the black trail as fast as possible, cleared the step-down, then 20-30 yards on from that, lost the trail, went into a ditch, broke my little finger and took the end of the handlebars into the ribs, breaking two of them.

Still, it was a nice sunny day, and the coffee and cake in the cafe made up for it! [:D]
