I've just read this on the front page of the Bongo website, had me in stitches for ages!: This month's fact:- The longest recorded swearing session by a Bongo owner was by Peter Dullimore (59) of Cirencester, England, on 6 April 2003. When trying to remove an exhaust manifold stud, Mr Dullimore grazed all his knuckles and his elbow, and went on to swear for 11 minutes, 13 seconds without stopping or once repeating a swear word. (Note: Mr Dullimore later made an attempt to beat his own record live on Sky TV's Record Busters programme by dropping a 105 amp Bongo battery on his foot. It ended in failure when he repeated the word "bastard" after 9 minutes, 49 seconds)"

I'm originally from St.Ives and my best mate lives in Werrington Village so I know how hard it is to find good trials.
If you ever fancy it jump on a train to Darlington (2hrs) and I'll take you round Hamsterley for the day. Always stop at the Cross Keys for a pint of Spitfire afterwards [:D]

I'll be going to Dalby this weekend [:D]
23 miles of grinning from ear to ear (and a little swearing on the uphills [;)])

Why don't you head a bit further north and join the Guisborough Woods forum ride. Dalbys good, but IMO Guisboroughs better if you go with someone who knows the area.

Thanks, but I have to do Dalby, I've gotta be back in town to play Poker in the evening, if I go any further away I'll not make it in time to take my mates cash off them!

Doethie Valley around Llyn Brianne Reservoir this Saturday. 25km and a beautiful place to be.
Planning a N. Wales weekend trip for August or September. Is that a definite about the Marin Trail? I can't find any confirmation anywhere. Just a rumour or fact?0 -

The plan for Snowdon, as far as I'm aware, is to ride up the Llanberis path and down the Rangers Path. Not sure if that's still the case. I haven't really gotten invovled with the planning of this trip, so I'm just doing what I'm told!

Quite looking forward to this weekend. Have to run the parents to the train station at 5:30am Saturday morning so should be able to get over to Baggeridge (local country park) before 6:30am and have the place all to myself before the pushchair/dog/red socks brigades all arrive en masse. Then a quick switch to the road bike for a scoot over to Birmingham and the Springwatch show, where the wife will be working and providing a lift home, via the Chinese takeaway. Hmmmm.
Then out again Sunday with any luck.

I hope, fingers crossed to get to the Surry hills. Girlfriend has given me the weekend of so no sitting on the M25 and M1 tomorrow and hopefully either Saturday or Sunday I be be able to get up to peaslake. I haven't ridden there since last year, be nice to give the Reign a proper ride, other than a trip to Wales in April its been pretty much sitting in the garage.
The only possible spanner in the works is that I am on call this week and weekend which could mess up my plans [B)]
