Can we stop the petty arguments?

It's getting stupid. I'm not talking about taking the piss, that's funny. However, the people who constantly go on and on at people, just drop it. It's got to a point where I can predict exactly what will be in a topic without even reading it.

I'll give you some examples.

Any topic posted by Heather or Beth: 10 pages complaining that the topic is useless and that they shouldn't be on the forum, regardless of what they're talking about. Even when it's about bikes, you pack of fucking retards.

Any replies by Dahnhilla, SJ, Ben, Tom and a few others: Pointless criticism of people for no particular reason. OK guys, you want to appear to be far too cool for the forum and show it by criticising the activities of all other members, but at least do it with some humour?

Acting completely differently towards people and topics depending on who they are: Anything posted by El Capitano, homers double, Tartanyak, me, Alex, Nick, John, either of the Mikes... Those topics will be seen as perfect. The same topics posted by Beth, Heather or anyone else someone in the former list tells you not to like, will be attacked no end.

Basically, I don't care if you want to take the piss, to slag everyone off (as long as it's funny), to have a laugh. Just be consistent and don't go just for the people you don't like, and leave the 'high ranking' members uninsulted. Don't instantly assume a topic's shit because it's been posted by one of the people it's popular to hate. And stop being so goddamn hypocritical. You make suggestions, and if they're taken on board, you change what you want in order to carry on insulting the people.

Just grow the fuck up, please, I'm tired and pissed off with just reading topic after topic of people insulting eachother and making really bad attempts at taking the piss for not particular reason.

Excuse me? I think today was the first occasion where I've actually criticised Heather or Beth and I don't think it was pointless. Plus I got insulted by Beth for posting my opinion. I note that her name doesn't appear on that list.

It's got nothing to do with 'wanting to appear too cool for the forum' and more to do with just wanting to chat about biking with like minded people.

I appreciate you want to stick up for your girlfriend but if you're going to comment about peoples behaviour then include everyone that is involved at least!

I agree almost entirely with Chris. It's not just Beth or Heather, it's others too. Lots of hypocricy, lots of words, little change.

At the end of the day. The sandbox would die without pointless/useless/offencive topics You all yell at others for posting crap, but wouldnt think twice about doing it yourselves.

And why are you all so quick to lay into eachother at every given moment? If you don't like what someone is saying, would it hurt to attempt to be civil about it? In the end what you are doing to certain members is just bullying.

I think its getting silly. theres often people whining at how the forum is so quiet, but as soon as someone posts something (and Heather was just asking for opinions) You all turn on the poster and rip them to shreds. Calm down.

I've been on and off this forum since like 2003, and this stuff has always happened. I doubt its going to change somehow. If you don't like it, you don't *have* to come to the sand box.
