Er they'd be petrol then!

The new diesel for the RR isn't out yet, when it is out its going to match the current v8 petrol for perfomance apparently and from experience thats not very fast!

Cool, They're gonna need some serious sound proofing for that thing!

anyway those other diesels go ok too. I know diesels can be powerful engines but despite the success of the R10, no one really makes a proper fast diesel (ie 0-60 in 5 secs)

antandpete.co.uk do some nice ones though

i get, well, in my last tank of petrol, i got 45 mpg. pretty good i rekon, and i have done, so far, 250 miles on half a tank of petrol, thats about 27 litres of petrol, 5 narf gallons

Audi R10, Peugeot 908 HDi.

Both fairly rapid diseasals.

It is of course worth bearing in mind, that diesel performance cars are still in relative infancy.

It's an interesting concept having a 200bhp diesel hatchback, and comparing it to a 200bhp petrol hatchback. Quite amusing that the diesel is quicker [:)]

Its an awful awful car, œ50k gets you:
ugly as sin looks
no off-road performance
Nothing special for fuel economy despite it being a diesel
Dismal interior with a poor quality build
Noisier than our john deere

My dad had one for a weekend about 18months ago, it was awful.

Yes you might be able to do 0-60 in 7.5 seconds but thats not the point of suv.

Seat Ibiza 1.9 TDi 130 PD FR, I drive it quite hard & get 35MPG round town, 45-50MPG on a good long run out to the trails with 2 bikes on the roof, not too bad considering how I drive & the bad aerodynamics of having 2 bikes up top.
