where was it?you had a dirt 19ft gap after a drop of about 9.
looked flat but was ok .

i am truly gutted for all the builders.

The Swampshore is being pulled down unless bits that are a mere 5 ft high are lowered,

Digging tools were taken from the trails, They were chained to a tree and we learnt the forrestry had come along and cut the chain,

So dont bother taking their word for something to be ok to build, They change their mind all the time and fu<s></s>ck the riders over.

Oh no, not at the bottom. At the top, just after the gap on the northshore, there was a massive kicker to a wooden landing. Only built about a month ago. There was also a road gap ( The forestry recently built a road network near the trails ) made of dirt with a dirt landing

Thats appalling.
Not much to say on the subject. Its such a shame that mountain bikers and the council/forestry commission are at a constant battle with each other.

Truly dreadful news. Believe it or not the Lennox Forest north shore was the very first place I ever road me bike off road. Quite an intro. Managed about half of it first time round and was grinning like a loon by the time I reached the bottom - despite wrapping myself round a couple of trees on the way down. Loved it.

Sure parts of it were high and tell me you love me - but that's half the point no? Just keep pushing yourself but always be aware of your capabilities.

Gutted doesn't even begin to describe how I feel about this...[:(]

That is corr blimey! I signed but realy what use are online potitions? ( no offence ) You should try taking this Higher, MP's etc.

Why do the Government say we need more exercise, and ( again no offence ) That scotland is one of the most obease country in the UK. Yet they destroy a mountain bike park that hundreds ride at and exercise. Its a bit hypocritical. Agin there is talk about a "nannied state", you should get on to that fella who said kids should be aloud to climb trees and break their wrists!.

Im realy gutted for you guys. Is there a possibility that this could spread in the 7 stanes and places?

In theory, it shouldn't kill or injure anyone. As part of the FC, chainsaw operatives need to be licensed and wearing adequate clothing, such as the trousers that will stop a rotating chainsaw blade because of the weave. The nails idea would merely wreck the chain, and if the person doing the sawing is injured, then he can't report it because he is in as much trouble for not wearing his work clothing.

Well I think we need to really make ourselves heard, talk to and meet local MP's. Tell them our situation. As for the lennox trails, possibly an article in local news papers? Meet with the forestry commision officials etc etc. Make a really big deal about it.

Definately. Was there not an article in MBUK about the trails a while back?? Try and contact the magazine again and see if they'd be willing to do something about this. Just get more publicity and stuff.

I'd offer to come up and help with the rebuilding and stuff but I won't be able to drive for ages still...
