Well If anyone wants a less than perfect GT Dhi with all the trimmings except a functioning chain guide for œ600 (pushing my luck) get yourself down to chesterfield now. I'll be outside McDonalds begging for scraps of Chavs

Managed to palm him off with œ800 but that leaves me with no bargaining chips at all. Thats money was gained by selling my most meagre posetions but has also left me with œ2000 debt with someone else. I can see how things can go so wrong for people now. You make a few small mistakes and they crucify you. By gaining this œ800 I have lost the only way for me to make any decent money for months. He's going to be after another œ500 next week as he'll add more charges. Then I need to pay the œ2000 to the person who I was suposed to be selling the items for in the first place. All I have done is bought myself a week for a much worse cost.

Declare yourself bankrupt. I believe if you go through a solicitors to declare bankrupcy, if you really are, you have to pay a charge and can potentially get debts written off.

Doesn't look good when it comes to getting a mortgage though, or any type of loan infact.

  • Yeah, but if there is any possible way of avoiding Bankruptcy available to you, you should do that instead most of the time. Sounds like he can borrow the money off a mate, so surely that's a better route than bankruptcy. If you can pay him back, that is.

i know its not ideal. but you need to get another job, if business is really that quiet, get yourself down to tesco's and stack shelves or something part time. its pretty much the _only_ way you'll get yourself out of this kind of crap. Also, i'd get yourself down to your lbs and trade your bike in for something a little cheaper. Can you really justify a œ4k bike if your fighting debt collectors? Try and get as much for it as possible, and buy something cheaper. big hit, coiler etc. you can still get out on the bike. but you'll have paid more off of your debts.

Anyway. hope you get it all sorted quickly [:)] as much as i'd love to donate something towards a forum whip round, i'm f*cked for cash myself [;)]

will i take my own advice though? of course not!

Sounds like it's all about being a lender

Rule number 1: If you're going to get into debt, make sure you can service said debt. If you can't afford the interest on that hot bike, don't buy it fool.

I really want an Iron Horse Sunday, but I can't afford it. Couple of years maybe.
