Ha well I shoe horse for a living so if any court in the land would decide that its practical for me to carry an anvil, hammer, gas forge, 19kg propane cylinder, selection of horse shoes, tool box filled with variety of essential tools foot stand and probably quite a few more on a bus into the hills then walk to the farm which doesnt have a bus stop, shoe the horse and do this anywhere up to 5 times a day traveling up to 100 miles

A farrier? Your not making money and your a farrier? Jesus, my mums farrier is on like œ35,000 a year. Your either living in the wrong place, or in serious need of some advertising.

If you are still paying for the van (i.e. you bought it on hire purchase NOT a personal loan) then you don't own it, the finance company does until you make the last payment.

They can't take it away from you, as it isn't yours in the first place!

Right, so you're a farrier. So you carry your tools around with you in the van. You can't take the bus to work or cycle with all these tools.

If you really do need the van to take you and your tools to work, then you just might be ok.

Yeah Im a farrier and work has been steadily dying away since I first got started up. Used to get a reasnoble amount of money now maybe œ0-œ300 a week

Phone the finance company who owns the van, tell them what's about to happen, then ask them to call the bailiff to clarify that the van isn't yours for him to repossess

I presume (hope) you are up to date with the van payments? If so I am sure it will be in their interest to help you out.

This place is equine heavy just hit hard times. Ive tried moving the areas to cover more ground, advertised heavily in local and surrounding areas. Alot of farriers are struggling at the moment and its not practical for me to move anywhere further afield as I have friends locally who feed me

My bike should be worth a grand but to a bayliff its worth œ20. Same with the PC I gave him. That was built up to be worth about œ850 but he would only write of œ50
