Cheesy Hollywood finish for the stage for Sepp. Liked that.

    That’s clever!

Someone cleverer than me can explain Roglic absence unless he is the cut out guy in the 2019 Vuelta?

Highest placed rider never having been on a GT podium before ?

In which case Wiggins is wrong? He was provisionally 3rd in the 2011 Vuelta wasnt he?

And Roglic 2019 Vuelta- he was 3rd in the 2019 Giro?
  • I think it is the highest placed rider without a GT win to date, or had previously been the best placed rider on a GT without a GT win to date. So 2014 Giro, Quintana & Uran dont count as they’d achieved this in 2013.
  • Just got in Where's blazing?

    Well done. 🏆

It was phrased differently, but essentially the same

'The winner of each GT since 2012, if you're only allowed to win one'

Right so multiple winners are removed ...god that's confusing

Could be just a one time winner. This year's giro excludes Thomas (2nd) who only won 1 GT.

Amazing that names don't appear twice. Does that mean those finishing high up either win one or fall out of contention quickly?

No one has not won a gt and been 2nd twice it seems

Or even third behind 2 GT winners. Very strange stat.

Ah. But they were beaten by first time winners on all but one each of those occasions.

Being picky, it’s not the same. Hence the anomalies over Quintana & Uran. So it’s youve previously appeared on this list.

BTW Sanchez Vuelta 2014 isnt correct, as he was the winner of the 2010 TDF under these rules. He was officially second to Andy Schleck, who was on the list from the 2009 tour. Depending on how you view the 2003 tdf results, Sanchez may have an even earlier ‘win’.
