Mas dropped, turning a tiny gear, wtf.

I'm in the strange position of cheering on a FDJ rider.

Nice of Kuss to slow down and allow his team to have to work to protect the red jersey tomorrow.

Remco salvaged that quite well, lost than initial 30" quickly but next to nothing after that.

    Remco loses 26 secs?

Remco looks like an OAP putting a LS jersey on... Have I (we?) missed a crash..?

Fell off after crashing into the police woman after winning the other day. Not sure about anything else.

    And Vingegaard.
He's the best of the pre-race favourites despite all Carlton's hyperbole about how much time Roglic put into him today.

Good job it's a sprint stage tomorrow, that was a hefty chug

Not retired, but pretty sure David Millar spent half of his days racing the Vuelta hungover.

He quoted it as approaching 50 seconds when it was show at 35-36 seconds.

he was also blathering about Lazkano coming back to help Mas, as the group Mas was in caught Lazkano and passed without a word between the two. He then referenced it again a few minutes later when clearly no such thing occurred. If he shut up for a moment and gave a brief thought as to what was actually happening his commentary would be much improved

It was yesterday's stage during a slow bit where I nearly spat out my snack in astonishment. While describing a church he said he was "admiring the purple dome".

Impressive riding by Alpecin-Deceunick - they placed all eight of their riders in the last twelve riders on the stage.

Admittedly haven’t been able to watch full stages and might have a distorted impression but why does Vingegaard seem to be subservient to Roglic?

    Team leader and final hurrah?
Until he crashes or fails, then Vingegaard will be let off the leash. Clearly stronger.

  • Vingegaard was saying post-race that he's still finding his legs.

He'll probably wait till Angliru and rip everyone's legs off
