Stupidly fast descent coming up into Bourg

Was going to say the same. top part very quick, then technical lower down.
Last year AG2R were going down as we rode up and had a hare off the front. They were flying.

Jonas looks a bit tight on the pedal tbh ....but I think they are all hurting

    WVA struggling today.

Is it me, or does Vingegaard look a little bit off it as well? Possibly wishful thinking, but...

    Yeah me too ..looks tight

(it's around this point - going the other way I confess) that you needed to start prepping a bus of English youths that they were in fact definitely going to a barely known, very French ski resort rather than one of the mega resorts like everyone else in the traffic jam so Msr. Le Gendarme would let us through the road block...)

Simon Geschke is on a daring solo lanterne rouge attack, 18 minutes behind

So is the front group a breakaway or has the yellow jersey group been dropped by the peloton

Bernal hits the deck on the very first bend

Bernal down but seems OK. I always gety nervous when he has a crash. The stripe down the back of his shirt really accentuates how crooked his back is.

It certainly looks testing and not very forgiving with walls on the outside of bends.

I think the position of the radio on his back under the jersey also makes it look like his back is more curved than it actually is, stretching the fabric causes the blue line down the centre to get pulled to the left

Tough for the camera bike to get a big enough gap between bends to avoid getting in the way on the corner itself.

Tight hairpins. And loads of them.
One of the guys in our chalet in 2019, had a front tyre blow out on the descent, and his tyre wrapped around his axle. He stayed upright somehow, but bailed out of the etape at Moutiers!

Even a helicopter shot can't make Moutiers look nice...

Right I'm off for a potentially year defining meeting in 10.

    Enjoy the stage!

How Eurosport can give the finale of the Queen stage to the giggling idiot is beyond me.

I dunno, Hatch would be calling it a stage for the ages 5km into the climb. At least there's no roundabouts on the bike path...
