I've always wanted to rent a motorhome from Dirk Hoffman.

    Whatever happened to his signs?

If we are talking about cycling kit - isn't it more or less impossible to be a cyclist and not have something from one team or other...

I have a fair amount of ex pro Mitchelton Scott kit - does that count?
Oh and the Mavic team whose name slips my mind, JLT Condor.....?
I meant kit by companies who sponsor teams - Garmin, Wahoo, Shimano, SRAM, Giant, Specialized etc etc etc. It would be hard to get far as a cyclist without buying anything from a company that sponsors a team!
Ah I see what you mean, yes I do have a Garmin, and I suppose a fair few other items, but in my case only chosen because they are imo the best item for the job :-)

Not cycling sponsorship as such, but a mate was complaining of a sore back today and on seeing the ad for Tiger Balm on the ES coverage promptly headed for Boots. £6 apparently 🤣

What's the Fab1 logo on Pog's jersey? Always thought that was a Thunderbirds thing.

It's made its way into UAE's UCI code. For some inexplicable reason they're UAD

The team was initially renamed "UAE Abu Dhabi", so that explains that - they managed to find the D in 2016.

Bought some Fosters for the other half tonight, in preference to the stuff on offer, because of the prevalence of ITV ads during the Tour coverage.

Fancy glass instead of jam jar though.

Pour it into this and most of the forum will nod in approval.

Well played yesterday on Montrose Street.

To that Glaswegian Dirk Hofmann fan

You did what I would have done if I wasn't working.

    I salute thee.

Haha yes I saw that yesterday and was just about to reply to your message above!

I was sat on the cast iron railings you can just see behind that Flanders flag, but had moved by this point (before it rained properly).

Your commentary yesterday was very good btw, I was near the screen at the finale (assume it was you with the onsite stuff).

A sort of adjacent story. I work for a major insurance company. We block certain vehicles from insurance. I was tasked with looking at the list and recommending revisions. Ineos Grenadiers were on the blocked list as a new manufacturer. I put them at the top of the review list. They're not blocked now. It would have happened eventually, but I think I put a bit of extra pressure on.

Good to see we're all doing our bit. For my part, I've force fed a terrapin a plastic bag, kicked a stateless Palestinian child, poured a bottle of motor oil into a Nigerian guy's fish tank and electrocuted the genitals of a Bahraini Shia muslim.

Is now a bad time to say I work with several oil and gas companies including current major cycling sponsors 😬

It's all OK though cos I'm also doing loads of hydrogen stuff at the moment......

I daren't mention my entire career industry involvements.
I count 4 industries that Greenpeace would disapprove of. Is it okay now that I'm retired?
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

But I think Greenpeace would disapprove of many dozens of my clients over my career - I spent 4 years in Aberdeen so that was 100% oil and gas.

Oh I can link at least one of my former jobs to a military coup with a former dictator dragged through the streets etc etc... 😶
