Ewan could be in trouble at the back - 29 minutes down with the last climb still to do.

Actually should be OK - time limit will be well over 40 minutes.
About 34 minutes behind at the top of the climb (the live timing goes funky once the stage is won, so no idea what it is now). Shouldn't lose too much on the remaining short efforts.
Time limit is 44 minutes so no issues.

Team saddo award goes to Ag2r, with the runners up being Ineos.
Failing to protect 16th and 17th place............

Can we have the old Cofidis back please? I preferred their earlier work. They've sold out.

Well, regardless of the race I'm making Claremont Ferrons the base for my next trip to France...

Clermont-Ferrand? That name rings a bell - one of my clients had an explosion at their site there.......
Was it to do with autocorrect too..?

Guillaume Martin needs to play spoiler to help his teammate

He did, and also fooled me - I thought Martin would go for it and Izaguirre would have the spoiler role (thus less enmity between riders of same nationality = with Pinot)

At least Ag2r had a moderately successful, albeit temporary and eventually unsuccessful, attempt at trying to reduce the gap between Pinot and Martin and the Ag2r men Gall and O'Connor.

Threatened with the possible changes in GC top 10-15 (which were then later realised), when Ag2r led the reduced peloton, within about 25 mins they cut the lead of the break from 3-15 to 2-00.
But then Jumbo took over and slowed the yellow-jersey group down, in order that Kuss (with others) could rejoin.

Ineos seemed to comprehend the potential negative GC situation for them much later.

Clermont and the Massif Central is a great place to visit. If you can combine it with a match at the Parc des Sports Marcel Michelin, then even better! They have a good rugby museum at the stadium too. Puy de Dome is no distance away too and worth a ride up in the train. Some good cycling in the area as well.

Cofidis, yikes. Would not have put money on two stages before the second rest day.

2 more stages than Jumbo at this point as well
