Inspired by daniel_b bravely asking when he should watch the stage from in the spolier thread, I thought I'd start a thread were you can ask when to watch a race from safe from any risk of spoliers.

    Great idea!
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Good idea, although for the Tour, the ITV highlights always cover the main bits of racing and they're available about 2 hours after the end of the stage

Yesterday was low on interviews and high on racing, whereas the slow day to the motor racing circuit was high on features and low on racing, which feels like the right balance

This is a great idea, though it would be even better if it was a No Spoilers thread as well as a No Spoliers one.

I'd only do the final 5km today.

The Discovery+ app now has handy little markers so you skip to various points

On S7 I watched from 5k to go and don't feel like I missed anything

How about for todays stage party people?

Two to three hours available, optimum distance to go to start watching?

Hasn’t finished yet. Maybe early kms, skim to around 50km to go and then maybe skip to the climb.

Just the climb really. The rider in front was solo for 20-30k before the bottom of the climb

If you have 2 hours to spare, watch the first half hour or so until things calm down and the last 40-50kms.

Last 50 k for S9 .,...there's some play getting the break going but only if you have time

I watched from about 40k to go after the cricket had finished and don't feel anything particularly interesting happened until the climb started (and even then it was pretty orthodox until about 5 k to go)

    Last 167km today.

Those short of time will find somewhere to fast forward in the middle, to the relief of pretty much everyone.

S10 Start anywhere you like . you won't understand what's going on anyway..even if you watch the whole thing

Ha indeed. What a bonkers stage, one to go back and watch from the beginning to work out what happened

I used the Discovery + app to jump to 5k to go and felt like that was too much (although that was probably due to Carlton banging on about roundabouts)

I was going to say 10km because I enjoy seeing riders choose the wrong side of a roundabout.

How about for todays stage then?

I watched up until about 75k to go over lunch.
