Lafay making a move in green.

Just clipped off the front, not really sure what he's doing or where he's going.

If he gets 3rd at the intermediate, he's much more likely to be in green tomorrow.
So he only doesn't keep green if Wout or Mads win the sprint finish. Not sure about Philipsen, because they'd be on same number of points. Would it be Lafay because of GC position?

Really looks like Lafay is riding for Bora hansgrohe.

He's heard rumours of another food stall. ;)

Going so slowly that they are having to stop.

Feels like this will be a very late finish. I have to go to the pub in a few minutes and had thought it would be finished by then but there's at least an hour left.

    Time to bail.
It’s going to be Kirby hysterics for the finish.

Carlton is back and already harping on about city planners and their roundabouts.

Nothing to see other than it's 39km to go and the break is only 15" up the road.

Everyone needs to chill out a bit.
  • Take a breath Carlton

He's just read out the entire start list with ever-increasing histrionics

ITV 4 reckon something is amiss with Van Aert.

50kmh+ across the road on the flat at 32km to the finish with teams lined up - welcome to Le Tour.

Any more deets? He refused interviews last night but he was back doing them this morning > words to the effect of "not sure why it's such a big deal that I really don't like losing"

That roundabout at 2km to go could be interesting. Full speed into it, then a 180 turn and uphill out of it.

He's spent quite a bit of time at the back of the peloton, hasn't he? Eurosport similarly have been speculating that he's not fully on it today.
