The chase in what's left of the peloton is pretty pathetic, these two aren't coming back

    Hour to go

Yeah, but they've got a minute, the peloton is looking ...meh... and it's got to get over the Kemmelberg one more time

Maybe. Looks like some more teams are coming to the front now.

Two Jumbo riders in the chasing group isn’t helping. It feels like pelotons are giving up when breaks go with 50km or so remaining. It’s becoming commonplace.

So if it’s obvious the two will make it, he’s gonna gift it to Laporte, surely. Shame for the palmares but he has bigger fish to fry

WVA is a completely different breed. Might be peaking perfectly for holy week.

Is Mohoric the least tactical rider in history? Needs to keep the peloton together and collaborating, so goes on the attack.... again.

It was pathetic on Friday. 3 guys up the road and km after km no one helped ben turner, despite teams having multiple riders in the group

Exactly the same today then individual trying to go off solo. I really don’t get the mentality. Teams with multiple riders need to pick who they are riding for and the others need to get together to chase. Maybe just too many quick sprinters in there still so no incentive to tow them back.

Wasn’t at his best in E3 but still won. Getting stronger with each race.

Towing Klooij while he's got teammates who aren't pulling to lead him out would definitely be dangerous

Group 2 are in a pretty tough situation, 2 jumbo out front and 2 in the group including a fast finisher.

I think not chasing the leaders down is a doomed strategy.

Jez C, they are NOT heading west. Ieper to Wevelgem is east.

Bahrain finally deciding to chase once the lead is over 2 minutes with less than 20km to go.

Blythe stating “they’re definitely not coming back” just as the TV shot moved to one of the war cemeteries was unfortunate timing!
  • Cant believe I had to work on Friday, missed the hum-dinger that was E3, only for Sunday to bless us with this absolute snooze fest.

For many teams they're doomed either way. Might as well sit up and hope for an opportunity for 3rd place or save some energy for other races. Cycling doesn't have a 'you did the most work on the front' award.

Alpecin being on a win streak could have sacrificed Vermeersch more in G2 as well. Even if that leaves Philipsen without a leadout. The chase was utterly woeful.

If the roundabout was downhill he’d have been fine.

The gap hasn’t even dropped when the Jumbo duo are having a chat at the front.

At least it looks like it won’t be a Jumbo 1-2-3.

    What a shit race.
