Froome seems to be slowing down Pidcock, which given how much extra weight Froome must have shows how strong Pidcock is going downhill.

Am I doing something dumb or is there no commentary on Eurosport?

It's probably fired up a stream without comms, that usually happens to me if I'm watching via the Playstation app - should be an option to change somewhere - on my phone I'm currently offered English, Danish or Dutch, but a couple of days ago it insisted on Italian until I rebooted.

I was completely sure that Pogačar would lose the yellow jersey yesterday. I told my companions in the morning

Good ride by the new Team GB Madison squad. Within 10" of the leaders now.

Tom joins Powless on the front of the break descending the Telegraph - this is fun

It's one way of getting a 4 minute gap.

The double take of the camera operator as they spotted Pidcock closing up Powless - who's been giving it some beans - was quite amusing then.

    And Pidcock just keeps going...

    Powless can't hold him!

It's nice Pidcock's getting one last hurrah before he abandons.

Powless is having to sprint out of every corner just to stay in touch, yet was taking time out of the rest of the break (and probably still is). Really puts Pidcock's ride into context.

Pierre Latour having a shocker of a descent as ahead Pidcock is getting out of sight from Powless through some of these corners. Unreal that kid

This is crazy, hope he doesn't get too carried away. The way he almost dove bombed Powless just by taking a far better line. Low centre of gravity must help.

Road flattens out and a slightly relieved Powless catches back up. I really enjoyed watching that.

He goes into corners the same pace as Powless but comes out several mph faster and opens a big gap.

    The race looks tired

UAE team manager out with Covid now too.

Looks like being a good day to be in that break, I don't see JV doing more than they have to and not sure any of the top few riders being up to attacking.
