Bizzare choice by JV after all that work.

I know there's the cumulative affect over the next few days but it looks like all the main contenders could be coming back into this.

Unless they want the main contenders there - more for Pogacar / UAE to worry about tomoz?

Honestly, I've watched the tour since 2008 and never watched a climbing stage thinking "oh I really want to go and ride these roads" - but these shots of the descent are doing funny things to me. Looks incredible

Italy always looks nice during the Giro. Based purely on GTs, I'd go to Italy, then France and then Spain.

This is just weird. Vingegaard almost got caught out by the train WVA brought back going flying past on the catch.

OK so who is going to blow up most spectacularly on the Granon in this GC group?

Maybe a ploy by Jumbo. Rog bluffing....

Getting dropped isn't bluffing - now Pog doesn't have to work as hard as he perhaps would have to if Yates and Thomas wanted to try and do something, Wout pulling this group doesn't do anything for JV chances

They're not so bad when you're there IMO...

Rog. Wouldnt be surprised if Pog goes all in to get rid of everyone or as many as he can

Thomas I reckon but hard to tell if he is just doing a classic Ineos ride or was genuinely struggling at the top of the Galibier.

Going to be a GC group fight for the stage as well I reckon.

Pog can't believe his luck. Got a nice comfy seat in the passenger car there! Great to see

Quite like seeing the footage of Hinault struggling, never been a fan and get fed up with seeing the photo of him 'dealing with the protestors' every year - had the cameras not been around he would probably have got a kicking.

Before he noticed the camera he had his mouth shut .. not seen anyone look so relaxed at this sort of point in a race

Ineos have a bit of an odd set up, they don't really have any mountain domestiques.
