So if Vingers has the legs he needs to go now and pick up Wout on the way down.

Pog not wanting Vingegaard to get a gap before the top and jump on the WVA downhill express.

I don't think Pog is thinking about Vindegaard so much with the pace he's putting on. Rather trying to make sure that there's not another GC threat from JV in Roglic

Hatch spouting his "stage for the ages" nonsense. Never mind though, Carlton is back 🤭

not a metre of shade, is there?
Exactly that, some posts be like "I had to go to 102% FTP here" whereas I'm watching for the stream I sat in and cried...

Rob sounded genuinely apologetic when saying Carlton was taking over. Oh well.

Honestly, I've watched the tour since 2008 and never watched a climbing stage thinking "oh I really want to go and ride these roads" - but these shots of the descent are doing funny things to me. Looks incredible

Wout surely is waiting to guide Rog down.

S4c now subbing for ITV ad breaks for me, as the Welsh makes more sense than our Carlton. ;)

    Yes, according to David Millar.

Bizzare choice by JV after all that work.

I know there's the cumulative affect over the next few days but it looks like all the main contenders could be coming back into this.

Certainly looks that way. Can't get my head around that though as Roglic has already been shelled for 2+ minutes, if he could do anything on the next climb surely that wouldn't have happened?

Not sure about this being the wisest of moves.
Not only is he towing Gaudu and Vlasov back into contention, but he's bring Majka back to his team leader.

I'd have just said let Wout sit on the yellow group and then ride up the climb at whatever pace you can manage. Still work to do for Vinegar in subsequent days

Vingegaard doesn't need any pacing anywhere.

I do think they'd be better leaving him with Vingegaard in case of any mechanical though.

Must admit I'm not a fan of the top bit with a drop off on both sides and then that very fast right hander with a big drop on the left - always glad to get to the main road.
