Visit the cathedral - it's lovely. Crate and Apple is a nice pub.veronese68 said:Evening folks,

Can you let the MF out of the trunk now please - he only wanted a lift to Sainsburys.
The camera down the willy isn't anything like as bad as it sounds.

No idea. I jumped from 8 to 10 speed.elbowloh said:I'm guessing it was similar issues with 9 speed?
My 10 levers are the Ultra Record with Record r mech and an Ambrosio cassette*. The previous Ambrosio cassette (12-25) didn't shift well.
The current one (12-27) does.
So, did Ambrosio develop the cassette originally with x spacing - x being a compromise and later develop the same cassette (bar ratio differences) with a different y spacing?
Or - to go with a majority usage (spacing) and I got lucky?
Originally, that Record 10 was with a Chorus cassette.
*Shimano splines, Campag spacing to fit Dura Ace CL25 wheels. They're beautiful BTW and contemporary versions new are eye watering.

I'm being "rude" to some pr*ck on the place I shouldn't really go, because it raises my blood pressure.0

Oh you already saw.
I'm watching the football. Boring thus, though technically interesting.
I've found a couple of cracking alcohol free beers. Lucky Saint lager amd infinite session pale ale. Really nice soft drinks.0 -

Honest.
Obviously they're not beer, because none of the body that alcohol provides, but very convincing beer flavoured soft drinks.0 -
I'd rather have a shandy. Genuinely.hopkinb said:

Think I'll seek out that Infinite IPA. Clocked that Sainsbury stock it.
There's only so much gin free tonic one can tolerate on one's zero nights.
Cheers for the tip hb.
(and btw ah've seen thon Loch Ness munster...)0 -
Now having a seedlip and tonic.
Less convinced.0 -
Luckily the bottle of seedlip was a freebie. It's the same price as gin. For not gin. Madness.0

It's horrible and a rip off at what, £24 a bottle.hopkinb said:Now having a seedlip and tonic.

My wife, who enjoys a G&T (fave is Bathtub gin) has tested quite a few NA gins over the last 2 pregnancies and reliably informs me that the only NA gin that tastes like gin is the Gordon's one (even if their actual gin is a bit shoite).

I'm fond of shandy, but I've opened a beer to make it. So I'll drink the beer and leave the lemonade in the fridge.elbowloh said:

Yer. 37.5% gin is an abomination. But I'm trying to cut out the alcohol.elbowloh said:

If I want to drink I drink, if I’m not then I’m happy with a soft drink. Can’t be doing with pretending to drink - but that might just be me1
-
I don't like most soft drinks as I find them too sweet. I do like jasmine tea and oolong tea. That's where I'll end up again.
What I do like is opening something cold and fizzy to mark the end of the work day.0 -

G&T has to be served properly.
I learnt (by Massimo).
First you need a slim Jim, ice to the brim.
Then pour the Gin on top and then add the Tonic - in that strict order. Pouring it over ice releases all the flavours.
The actual volume of Tonic when the ice is to the brim and the Gin is already in the glass is a good ratio, about 2G:3T.
It's quite a different drink served properly.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -

Back now, didn't make it to the cathedral but undoubtedly will be back.
Where was H³ rude? I'll have to go looking.
I was bought a bottle of Seedlip a while back, I should regift it to someone I don't like.0 -
