potential new shifters but I don't think they will work with the 'mech

Mish mash the two together? Levers from the carbons to the non Carbons - providing they fit (probably wont)

Also, bidding for a new set of shifty shifters myself

Pay for the one that was £41 more expensive because they weren't lying to me.

Will it go into the Frankenbike thread or will it be legendary?

Just drying off cassette and chain aftercleaning, so will refit and take piccies as the sun is shining.

Do you know if all 9 speed Campag shifters work with all 9 speed mechs?
No they don't - different parallelogram. Use a 'shift mate' for Shimano compatibility.

Do you know if all 9 speed Campag shifters work with all 9 speed mechs? Seems a shame to have carbon seat, carbon seat post, carbon forks, carbon bars, carbon wheels and not carbon shifters....

If I decide I don't like the look of the '90/Zero combo I've a plain WCS carbon post and plain 80g carbon seat that can go on......
I think shifters are either powershift or ergo shift and they're not compatible with each other as they have different pull ratios.

I could be talking complete testicles though.
    ...and Ultra.

I think you are wrong but i'm open to contradiction.
It would mean producing 3 different rear mechs having 3 different parallelograms.
...and the spacing between all 9 speed Campag cassettes is identical.
    i'e 9 speed - 4.55 mm, 10 & 11 variable.

grazie mille! i think its coming together quite nicely.

i've got a new headset on the way down to match the new forks and stem, then just set up the mechs again after i changed them to go on the turbo and lets see what its like.

i'll weigh it in a bit as well and update.

brakes are for cowards. Tbh, its another reason to keep those shifters so they work with those older Campag brakes.

and i use my MIGHTY LEGS OF POWER to crush both the elements and clubbies in my way.

This is Campag's own documentation for the current 11 speed groupsets and it implies you should only use ErgoPower Shifter with Record, SR and Chorus. I'm guessing it was similar issues with 9 speed?
