    Cavagna wins in France
Van Aert wins in Belgium (just)
    Colbrelli wins in Italy
    P Sagan wins in Slovakia

There may be a lot of National jerseys in the Tour sprints which will make it easy for new viewers to understand the sport.

What the hell happened in the Italian TT?

Sombrero won, beating affini, someone else and Ganna comfortably.

    Who cares about Ganna!
Jacopo Mosca (trek – segafredo) crashed in the Italian TT. Fractures of the shoulder blade, collarbone, ribs, cervical and thoracic spine, lungs collapsed.
Won't be decided where and what to operate first until Monday/tomorrow.

Schachmann and Brennauer won the RRs in Germany (Brennauer also won her TT), Martin the TT for the 10th time (!), Konrad the Austrian RR, Dillier the Swiss RR.

Leo Hayter has had quite the end of season, that's his third win in as many weeks.

What will Dan Bigham's excuse be this time?

What will Dan Bigham's excuse be this time?

Why would he need an excuse? Second is not too shabby is it.

He shouldn't, but it feels that every time he competes against world tour level riders he comes up with some excuse as to why he didn't win.
  • What will Dan Bigham's excuse be this time?

If you're genuinely curious, here's his take on the result:

  • All of today's results are on the British Continental website.

Alex Dowsett pulled out mid-race - feeling unwell, apparently. No record seventh title for him (though I doubt he'd have won anyway).

I don't follow Charlie Quarterman closely, but for someone who beat Hayter to the 2019 U23 title (by 44 seconds) I wonder if he expected better than to be 2:50 down in seventh place today.
  • Top three in the elite women's ITT (29.4 km):
    Anna Henderson (Jumbo-Visma) 43:04
    Joss Lowden (Drops-Le Col) +0:56
    Leah Dixon (TIBCO-SVB) +0:58

Two jerseys for the Annas today (and both quicker than the other women, regardless of age). I don't think that margin over Lowden was in the script.
  • An interesting stat. The last National Championships had Adam Blythe racing in them

Are the British Champ races not on Eurosport?

They’re showing snooker and motorbikes on the schedule.

Get the feeling I’m going to have to subscribe to GCN+ soon.

I think you may be able to watch the races via British cycling on YouTube.
That had both crits last night and it mentions live coverage here:

Women’s RR looking fairly miserable conditions.
Nicely set up for entertainment after lap 1

You will never convince me that Pfeiffer Georgi hasn't been got the wrong way round by mistake and everyone is just trying to front it out...

Pfeiffer obviously very popular in the peloton but I would have liked some of them to have looked less pleased that someone other than themselves won.

Nice to see the WT riders spread out so much over numerous teams and no longer having that Sky dominance but it would be good to see a few more Ineos riders taking part. Hopefully it will be a WT rider that wins so the jersey is visible at top races but the strength in depth of some of the conti teams makes it by no means certain. Pidcock Jnr seems to have turned up in fancy dress as a cycle commuter with awful leg warmers and hi Vis gilet.

Break trying to go clear but getting nowhere.
