Thought they were going to bottle it as it wasn't Wales

Can someone explain how that challenge was any different to the one Wilson was sent off for?

Odd that he didn't just try to fall on the ball, rather than do a butterfly stroke.

Neither intended to play the ball, but this one wasn't with his studs and a locked leg. Wasn't pretty mind.

He wasn't exactly known for tracking back. They'd be playing with 9 men.

Does anyone know how one of the Dutch team got a surname of (a) a small Scottish town (b) a small Scottish racing driver?

Didn't think Wilson last night had studs and a locked leg either.

Oh ignore me. I thought you were talking about the Welsh bloke last week.

Just watched Wilson sending off last night although not a close up. Slightly surprised it was red, but it was pretty bad as there was no attempt to play the ball. Sometimes the deliberate foul needs a bit of subtlety. I have seen players sent off for similar.

Someone needs to pop round to RC's place later and make sure he's okay.

Not the first time Holland have bossed the groups and gone out to an average Eastern European team at the first knockout

I wa going to say you're sticking your neck out bit there at 1-0, but good call.

It is based on the amount of ugly concrete architecture. By that measure the Czech Republic is in eastern Europe. So is Glasgow.

I could have gone with former soviet nation but y’know.

Might make England fans feel less bad perhaps?

I know group games are barely an indicator for future performance but surely being stingy is ideal.

Former Eastern Bloc would have been acceptable

I'm not watching this in protest at the maxed out stadium capacity.

All you watchers are Covid complicit!

As I've said before, all countries have the right to set their own Covid rules. Hungary has a PM that declared Covid beaten a year ago.

de Boer will be lucky to keep his job.

This Dutch performance has made the Czechs look like the Harlem Globetrotters.

Fairly classic Dutch performance post sending off.

He only took over a few weeks ago. He’ll keep it till at least the world cup
