I don't think there's really any chance of Bora putting anyone in trouble over the climb is there?

    Good call. :p

Let’s have the forecast crosswinds now and this stage won’t be half bad.

Merlier 2'40" back and Nizzolo's just thrown in the towel

So Bora and ISN put the hammer down. Merlier, Dylan dropped. Nizzolo and Campanaerts try hard to get back to the group with a two up but they just gave up...

    Come on crosswind.
If it is there after all this effort, it might be Ganna and total carnage.

DQS ramping it up for the bonus seconds for Remco now... so more stress at the front of the peloton

    That all seemed somewhat unnecessary

Nice bit of racing that, good to see. Good use of the spare men to defend the seconds too.

All that for 1 second gain for Remco.

If the Ineos rider hadn't come over the top the end result would have been the same, net 1s gain for Evenepoel. So that seemed a bit pointless

Simon Yates at the wrong end of the peloton again.

When you look at how close some GTs have been recently it makes sense got the GC riders to do that on those stages where it is possible.

Good win by Sagan finishing that off .

Rather spoiled by the late crash, but there you go.

Bora have pulled that tactic pretty successfully a fair few times only for Sagan to miss out. ... Well done to them

Felt a bit strange, that sprint - Sagan had to take that a long way and you'd normally expect someone to come round. Think the corner maybe made it harder to judge the distance remaining, and caused a bit of hesitation behind.

Not quite sure what Molano was doing

It felt like a few had left it until getting around the last corner before fully opening up but then there just wasn't enough distance left for them. I was surprised how big the bunch still was at the end.

    Win I guess

I think Molano did the right thing, but his leader just didn't follow him.

And until they sort out the times for the 3km rule, Vlasov up to 2nd in the GC, one second behind Bernal - so that sprint was key :)
