Just returning to the more important point of holiday homes if you watch day 3 of the Volta ao Algarve on Friday about four mile from the finish in Tavira the race goes past the bottom of our road.

Unfortunately I will be in sunny Cheshire 😟

    “But where is pinno?”

    Very good question.

Born and raised in Kenya, the young pinno showed great promise as an athlete running the 10miles from and to school every day. He was home schooled but managed to escape every morning. Turning down an opportunity to represent Kenya in the olympics, preferring instead to relocate to Scotland and dedicate himself to the BikeRadar forum. Quickly rising through the ranks with ruthless efficiency, aided by the deaths of several high ranking BB members, pinno, riding a wave of popularity, ascended to the throne in 2013 and reigned for 5 more, crushing all challengers.
Then in 2018 disaster struck. Losing a battle to become the highest post count holder, closely followed by the loss of his big girls thread was a double bitter pill to swallow and a huge blow to his colossal ego. Later that year, the disappearance of his beloved seano would be the final nail in the coffin, sending Pinno spiralling into a drug fuelled Lego building despair from which he would never recover.

Some say on a quiet dark night the ghost of Pinno wandering the forum boards can be heard lamenting his demise and quickly changing the subject when posts counts or popularity are mentioned.

Next week on ‘Behind the forum’ The inexplicable rise of Stevo.

Must admit missing the cycling, empty back roads and numerous coffee stops that Portugal offers.

The two negatives are the never ending wind (we are on the coast) and the loose dogs that think it is good sport to try and attack you as you cycle past them.

Am I to understand there are too many woke people and not enough diversity?

I am reeling from discovering that other than RJST I am the only one without a holiday home
Just to clarify. I have nothing against centre left middle class white blokes with holiday homes and good pensions, just that it would be nice to see a more diverse body of opinion sometimes. On the holiday homes thing, there was recently a thread dedicated to buying a second home abroad and another about a bloke with a double glazed shed and I thought those two topics were the perfect metaphor for cakestop.
I am nowhere near centre left
    middle class
white (but could not pass for it)
    bloke
not even the hint of a holiday home

the audience is self selecting as you need to be able to have access to a computer throughout the working day with no monitoring
You know that people can log into forums outside of work hours though right? The fact that most of the activity seems to take place amongst the demographic and times you have identified raises the question why other people choose not to? There are probably tons of reasons for this but if one of them is that some people feel like their opinions arent valued for whatever reason, then that's something that can be easily addressed. Robust debate is fine and what we're all here for but condescension not so much. it's not always overt and it's probably not even done consciously most of the time but it exists. Just my thoughts, I'm sure I'd get on fine with most of you if we were sat in a pub (or the wine bar obviously 😉)

Don't envisage many on here agreeing to meet up at Wetherspoons.
