As opening TTs go, that was OK.

Vingegaard in 3rd, but won't get into the Vikings thread with that anymore... ;)
“Road racing was over and the UCI had banned my riding positions on the track, so it was like ‘Jings, crivvens, help ma Boab, what do I do now? I know, I’ll go away and be depressed for 10 years’.”

    The Vikings are coming!

I find that the presence of Roglic removes any enthusiasm I would otherwise have for a race.

Is that the symphony for 100 metronomes?

Anyway, it's cold and wet in Pais Vasco today. Could make it more unpredictable.

Ben Swift dropped rather early on the last climb as Movistar turn up the heat.

"The chasing group are embedded". (That's the entire peloton)

Carapaz crashes going uphill as Pogacar goes.

All together going to the somewhat steep final climb - I'm not convinced it's ideal for Roglic, but going to be some gaps.

Looked like it should have been a good chance for Woods, but he fell off.
