Any chance he's trying to replicate the cacophony of crowds, motos and helicopters on Ventoux?

Tempting to start a thread where people can post up their own playlists for critical review.

Be interesting to see if musical tastes are what you'd guess.

Surely it's a list picked to do a job. Up tempo, upbeat, happy songs for the training. If this was his Desert Island Discs (and it maybe) then that's different.

Thought I'd missed a trick there with my Redds & The Boys (Washington house) but each track is over 15 minutes and I prefer variety when working out. Playlists are easy to make, and worthwhile imo.

Was a show on Apple TV+ with some bloke renovating an old Bank building in South Chicago to be an artists space plus library plus whatever. Had the entire (vast) record collection of Frankie Knuckles as a display/museum exhibition. That’d be a helluva playlist!

I thought I would have had 9/10 of those. Only five though as I discard songs over 4 minutes to increase variety. 9/10 in my library.

Here's my most played songs from when I last rode my bike regularly.

All really good tempos for running to or for out of the saddle spin / turbo trainer sessions.

ha... sprint 11 intervals on the turbo for me this morning so:

Questions – High Contrast feat. Boy Matthews
Fade Into The Night – Cyantific
Freesol – Seven Lions feat. Skyler Stonestreet.
Waffle House – Botnek & Snails
Let It Shine – DJ Phantasy & Macky Gee feat. Youngman
Let Me Go – Paris Blohm feat. KARRA
How You Gon' Do That? – Flosstradamus feat. Cara Salimando

TBH I don't think Froome's playlist is that offensive...

You can have a listen as all on youtube/spotify. Mainly drum and bass / electronic. Wouldn't use it to put the baby to bed... but good for interval training!

I tried this. Did not work.

You really need something that drowns out all thoughts. Something with a nice 4 on the floor helps trick your body into thinking that you're getting some pleasure out of your movement.

I suspect Froome's playlist is just a flex in how mentally capable he is that he doesn't need to feel like his ears and head are being kicked in 120-130 times per minute to distract from how much he's suffering.

Yes must admit I wouldn't listen to a podcast trying to bang out vo2 max intervals.

I've got into the habit of doing most of my winter riding indoors though (yeah I know If have questioned my sanity for doing so a few years ago) and that means some steady state zone 2 stuff.
