My bike has wheels AND pedals. It's even got bits to sit on and a thing for steering.Warning No formatter is installed for the format0

Are you sure it isn't a car?PTP Champion 2019, 2022 & 20230
-
Well it's only got one seat, no roof and no engine, so if it's a car it's not a very good oneWarning No formatter is installed for the format0

Bike (frame) was top spec, they switched out the 'cockpit' and drilled holes in the frame....rick_chasey said:For all the tech chat MvdP won on a not top of the range not even internally routed cables bike

Apologies to Rick, I forgot we had this thread so I will bump it with....
76th Dwars door Vlaanderen - A travers la Flandre: Roeselare › Waregem (184.1k)
Next race is up tomorrow: Across Flanders
Traditionally Dwars door Vlaanderen was held four days after Milan–San Remo and a week and a half before the Tour of Flanders. As from 2018 the race moved up one week on the international calendar and is now contested on the Wednesday before the Tour of Flanders. Footing the bill for this move was the Driedaagse De Panne-Koksijde and some might say riders looking to hone their form over +400kms as opposed to the 180 now on offer.
Dwars door Vlaanderen takes in thirteen hills and four stretches of pavé, all packed together in the second part of the race.

I guess I can stick this here...

Tom Fordyce is brilliant (despite being a Wednesday fan) and I love Tom Boonen so this is right in my wheelhouse1

Good news.
Both Trek and Bora-Hansgrohe have been given the green-light to ride Dwars door Vlaanderen."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
Unfortunately Edward Theuns has withdrawn due to an inconclusive test, so Trek are down to five.blazing_saddles said:Good news.

So I'm so behind I'm only just watching G-W.
Things I hadn't noticed - the Sporza coverage gives stereo audio. That includes wind sounds and sounds around the moto cam. So during the cross winds head on shot, you can hear the wind blowing in your left ear. Very immersive.1 -
Assume it's Covid test that's inconclusive, not the one for this...hommelbier said:

I remember Gaviria trying to do what AvV did and blowing completely.
Ridiculous is the word.
AvV and AvdB live on a different planet to the rest.
Now the good news.........
........ Dan Lloyd is doing the men’s race.
Can’t bring myself to mention the bad news but folks can guess.
Why?
Just why?"Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -

Even before we get the race:
DL “He’s got one top ten and one win.”
CK “ So that’s 100% then.”

It's back to Carlton being drinking buddies with Eurosports head producer who hands out the comms gigs. At least last week he was punted onto Catalunya so didn't spoil E3 or GW.
God forbid he's on Flanders this weekend.0 -

Warren Barguil mixing with the GVA / MVDP group with 52K to go. Fair play.0

Can't help but feel this was a better race a week earlier and De Panne had it's 3 days slot before the Ronde.
Looks as if the big boys and DQS in particular are very half hearted."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
I missed 30km - what's happened?0

VDP doesn't look like he's taking it easy ahead of the weekend, he looks fooked.0

Van Baarle went away a loooong way from home and just stayed there.
Hey ho. Well done.0
