Weird Omloop that. Expect KBK to follow suit and MVDP to win from a solo 30km attack.
Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.

Worst Omloop in ages. MvdP would have ripped that apart

Great breakout result from Jake Stewart, he's been FDJ's best rider so far this season.

I enjoyed it. DQS tore the race apart, but possibly too early, then regrouped and shut it down when a bunch sprint looked likely. It's not often you see that, shows that the riders can think on their feet.
  • Quite amused by Ineos grouping together at the back, having a good chat amongst themselves, and then agreeing that it would be unfair to pick a leader so everyone should just knock it off for the day.

Definite “we made the final group!” Vibes

It is a bit disappointing there is no other team capable of wrestling the race off them.

    Same with the women's races.

(It's not serious - but according to UCI rules they should be...)
  • The men did the same through Geraardsbergen, making the most of the lack of fans by riding on the non-cobbled part and cutting corners where there would usually be fans.

I really feel people misunderstand this issue.

The narrow side path suits the front of the race and disadvantages the back as it puts the entire peloton in single line. That is more expensive to a rider than riding on some cobbles.

The words “looking forward to see Van De Poel race today” had barely left Adam Blythe’s mouth, before we cut to MVDP (and Navaez) attacking bunch 80km out...

Naraveaz is the ineos rider and the orange guy is a Nor who I’ve never heard of.

Degenkolb and Theuns accelerate out of the favourites group on the same hill
