I wish. Nope, but they're bloody noisy in summer ("GREAT BOWL LEN"), and they sold some land, built houses to fund a clubhouse, changing rooms. Luckily I'm not overlooked or shaded by any of the development, but others not so lucky. There were a lot of complaints and merton council were awful. I went to the planning decision meeting, there were walk outs, accusations of corruption.

The club guys met the residents in the pub as well, they could not understand why people would object to a 2 a.m. bar licence in the middle of a four-sided residential echo chamber. Where they didn't live, but their club would benefit from. They just said "join the bowls club, it's great".

Bowls club has to draw the blinds at 10pm in summer if I’m not mistaken.

If you see a ten year old boy running around with long hair this summer, that’s my boy with his grandparents.

They were there before me, I have no problem with them, they just don't need a 2 a.m. bar licence every Friday and Saturday.

They didn't need a 2 storey clubhouse either. Or changing rooms that put a 3m blank wall a metre from people's back fence. That all went through though.

The club is not popular due to how they have behaved.

The main thrust of their argument was that you can get a pint in the clubhouse for 2 quid or something. I said if they stopped subsidising the old drunks, and if they upped the subs to a market level, they wouldn't need godawful "functions" to survive. If bowls was that great, shurely they'd love to pay for the privilege of being a member.

I'll send mini H³ down to harass mini Seano if I spot him!

My hope is that bb will consist only of steaming mugs or cups of warm beverages. Maybe also practical cars, houseplants, cigarette advertising from the 70's and food/cakes.

I'm a mole from a lifestyle website, sent to destroy interest in bicycles and all things oily. Mwaah hahaha ah, mwaah hahaha.

Oh, did I say that out loud?

I meant wfh, bike ride, drink, sleep etc.

On the rare occasions Significant Other makes "coffee", it does indeed taste pretty dire. But not the one in the pic...
